Camp Gym [the salle, after workshops]

After her workshop, Aravis had changed into the nicer of the two old sets of her brother's clothing, made her way to the weapons locker and retrieved her scimitar. It had been an eventful enough day that a little practice with her sword was hardly an unwelcome idea.

She set the candles she'd brought with her a fair distance away just in case the salle is sans windows and set to work, becoming re-used to the weight of the sword.

Sabriel blinked. That had never occurred to her. Possibly she had spent too much time believing that her father knew everything. "Huh. Perhaps I should think about that. I mean, some of the things I have heard about this place..." She trailed off as she looked for a suitable sword.

Sabriel looked up, eyes wide. "Oh did you see them as well? This morning? Or did you mean something else?"

"Rikku told me it was against rules, the vice principal and clothing." Sabriel pulled out a sword, weighing it. "I decided not to join them, even if they are quite nice, really."

Sabriel paused. "You don't think it'll be a... naked celebration, do you?"

"Oh, me neither," Sabriel said very firmly. She brandished her sword, finally happy with her choice of sword. "I like to think of myself as open minded, but I am not quite, ah, ready for that much openness with people I have just met."

Sabriel nodded. "Yes, to me as well." She blushed a little. "I have attended an all girls school for years. I am not really used to having boys so close. Those I have met are very nice," she hastened to add. "But I am very glad I will not be sharing a room with one."

Sabriel grinned at that. "Oh yes?"

Sabriel tried to recall all the people - and turtles - she'd met since Friday. Finally she shook her head. "I don't believe I have."

Sabriel grinned. "I am not quite sure I'll recognize him based on that description." She knew what a priest was, but she had never quite seen a reason for them. Perhaps she lived too close to the wall and the Charter.

"Lacking in clothing," Sabriel said wryly. "I did talk to one of the big turtles. His name was Donatello. He was quite like a human, I thought."
