Thus, Jude has a Canadian flag tied around his shoulders as a cape while he sits in front of the campfire, checking his skateboard over before a hard day of daredevil stunts and highspeed pranking.

In honour of the Queen, of course.

"Take offffff to the Great White North, take offfffff! It's a beauty way to go . . ."

Sabriel stepped out of the cabin and stared at Jude. "...Good morning?"

"Morning, bra!" Jude greeted her cheerfully.

"Are you wearing a flag?" Sabriel asked. She thought it was a reasonable question to ask. It looked like a flag, but for all she knew it could be the secret sign of the cult of little wheeled planks.

"Is there a particular reason? Or did you simply feel like it today?" Sabriel's eyebrows had gone up. "Which country is it for?" Not that she was likely to know it anyway.

"It's the Canadian flag. And today is Victoria Day. Which is a Canadian holiday." Jude felt like this was a good explanation.

"You are from..." Sabriel hesitated. "Canad?"

Katara was completely glittery. And she hadn't seen Jude in far too long. So she bounced up to him with a grin.

"Hi Jude! What are you singing?"

"Hey," Jude grinned. "You're sparkly. I'm singin' the Great White North theme song."

"I woke up and our whole cabin was glittery! And me and Buffy and Zack and everyone else," she said gleefully. "Great White North's Canada, right?"

"Yeah, that's one of the names for it," he chuckled. "But it was also this show on the CBC . . . anyway, glitter's awesome but it gets everywhere and Luke said something about boykissy."

"I don't think it just causes boykissy," she said thoughtfully. "I mean, the entire cabin was covered in glitter and Zack and Qui-Gon didn't kiss. ...which is good, I think."

"Probably," Jude considered. "And I didn't kiss Luke."

Valentine stepped up to the campfire, his arms crossed.
"What in the world is that sound? It's like an entire library is roosting, or something."

"It's singing, bro," Jude chuckled, not offended in the least.

Valentine wasn't being rude, really. This world had offered stranger explanations than this, after all.

Rikku peeked her head out of the cabin because ... okay, because Jude was crazy. She thought it sounded like him.

"Juuuuuude?" Rikku walked up to him slowly. "Did you, uh, hit your head? You wanna maybe come back inside?"

"I was gonna head into town," he replied, a little confused as he looked up at her. "And I didn't hit my head. Well, yeah, a little yesterday in the shower, but the stupid showerhead was at a weird angle."

"Yeah. Okay. Did you, uh, fall? When you hit your head. Maybe town's not really such a good idea. You know? Maybe you, uh, sit down for a minute?" Rikku smiled hopefully. "Take the, uh, cape off?"

"I am sitting down," Jude reminded her gently. "Are you okay, bra? It's not a cape, it's a Canadian flag."

"Right." Rikku blinked. "Okay. It's a flag. It's a nice flag. And the singing was pretty ... neat. Look, are you seeing spinny things? Did you meet any gremlins? Are you, uh." Her eyes widened. "You're not gonna start bouncing quarters on people, are you?"
