Jackalope campfire, Monday night
Dean had got a fire going and was reclining lazily against a log with a soda and staring up at the night sky. The assignment in Treasure Hunting had him thinking about stars again and he was seeing how many constellations he could still pick out. When that got a little boring he started making up his own constellations and stories to go with them, wondering if he could pass them off as fact to Vala.

She started messing with a few of the rocks next to the fire, picking them up, and setting them down.

She finally found a rock that she liked and put it next to her on the log.

She stared at the rock for a little bit, then back at the fire. Yup. That would be good cover, just in case she couldn't do both at once.

After a moment, she altered the question a little bit. "Any particular reason that I'd actually want to know about?"

She held onto the stone a little tighter, wondering if the other girl had seen her little show-and-tell. Not that it mattered. It just... would be nice to know.

"Nickname," she admitted, and, no, she had no intention of disclosing what it said on her birth certificate, thank you very much. "How 'bout Charlie? Nickname? Parents really wanted a boy?"

She sighed. Nandi would know how to handle this.
