Fourth Floor Common Room [late evening]

Now that she knew how to change the channels on the television, Aravis was enjoying doing just that.

It's possible she had found a Space Battles special. And it's possible she was imitating the noises of the weaponry.

She'd never admit it, though.

Will headed down to the common room at the end of the hall to make herself a cup of coffee. If she heard Aravis making whooshy noises, she didn't say anything.

"Hey, Space Battles!" she said instead. "I loved watching those movies as a kid."

"There's more than one?" Aravis asked, looking up. If she had been making noises, she was certainly not going to admit it. "I rather like it thus far."

Which was okay, because it was not like Seely would admit he started doing a Dark Helmet impression the moment he passed the common room and caught sight of Aravis.

...okay, he'd totally admit doing it. Because he was proud of his Dark Helmet impression, dammit.

This would be Aravis staring at him from the couch. "...what was that?"

"I think there's, like, six of them," said Will, turning off the coffee machine. "Some of them are really bad, though. The first trilogy is labeled numbers four, five, and six, and the second trilogy has one, two, and three."

Seely looked hurt and pointed at the television. "Dark Helmet."

"Oh. Excellent impression," she said, hiding a smile. "I was just so overwhelmed by happiness at seeing you that I didn't catch it."

It was worth a shot.

"...that makes no sense," Aravis said, frowning.

Seely's raised eyebrow said it all really, but on the other hand, it's not like it would hurt any to play along. "You were huh?"

Will recognized Seely's impression, and let out an amused giggle-snort combo.

"It would be even better if you had the background theme to go with it," she said cheerfully.

"The best explanation I've heard for that is that the director's not the brightest, and though that it would be great to start with Part IV, and then go back and fill in things later," Will answered, shrugging her shoulders in a who-knows-what-he-was-thinking way.

Seely grinned and started humming the theme. "Da da da...dum da da..."

"This weekend is going to totally...what the hell's on the television?"

Never let it be said that Luke couldn't be distracted away from a whining rant.

Aravis nodded very solemnly, the corner of her mouth twitching slightly. "It has been ages and ages since I saw you last. You've lost your courtier clothing, I see."

"Da da da dum, da da dum, da da dum," she hummed back at him.

"I don't know. I just found it," Aravis said, making a slight whooshing sound along with the TV. No, she didn't know she'd done it.

Aravis rolled her eyes. "People that stupid should not be allowed to control important things like movies."

"Forever, almost," Seely agreed, and sighed melodramatically. "I'd just about forgotten what you looked like."

He shrugged. "Had to hand it back," he said. "But if you miss it that much, you could always help me find some I don't have to give back?"

"Hey," Seely waved cheerfully. "Space Battles!"

"DUM! Da da dum da-dum-de-da-da-dum, dum da da, dum da da!"

Seely? Was a dork.

The sky was also blue and water was wet.

Aravis stretched out on the couch and looked at him. "You want to get a set of clothes like that? To keep?"

"Tell me about it," said Will pouring herself a cup of coffee and grabbing a seat on the couch. "You think that's bad, you should see the incredibly annoying, and possibly racist stereotype character he added into Part I."

Oh, she might have been rude. She motioned to the coffee machine with her thumb. "Want a cup?"

"Why not?" Seely flopped down onto the couch next to her. "They weren't exactly uncomfortable, and you seemed to like them."

"That's totally not how that would work," Luke said, finding a seat on the sofa. "Lightsaber physics don't work like that."

"Space Battles?" Luke repeated. "Fiction or documentary?"

A particularly painful bit of special effects went past. "Fiction, right?"
