Second Floor Common Room; Sunday Evening.
Turtle was crashed on the sofa in the common room, sitting low, sitting comfortably, with a bowl of popcorn, watching old game shoes because there wasn't really much else on. "Boooo!" she called out objectively, a second after shoving a handful into her mouth and a second before throwing another at the TV screen. "You coward. It's no fun if you wager something like that! It's not even a hard question!"
Turtle shook her head. She should be on a game show. She'd do better than these putzes, anyway.

Maybe if he backed away slowly she wouldn't notice him...

"What is 19...57?"
"Incorrect." Groan. "The correct answer was 1932. 19.32."
"I told you!" Turtle shook her head and caught in the corner of her eye someone coming into the room, so she turned her head to greet them. "Oh, hey...." Pause. Blink. "Dick." She turned back to the TV, handful of popcorn ready for her mouth. "What's up?"
See, she could be....polite...ish...to Annette's boyfriend. She wasn't petty or anything. Just couldn't look at him, that's all.

"I like your hair." Well, so much for that.

Which she realized she should probably share. After all, Dick had it hard enough having to date Annette and all, so... She held the bowl his way. "Popcorn?"

He took a handful of popcorn and settled back in the armchair. "What are we watching?"
no subject
Turtle...didn't know. She'd taken a lucky guess.

"I know, right?" Turtle said. "I could so be on one of these shows, but I'd feel too bad about making all that money so effortlessly."
"This year was the year that the New York Stock Exchange was officially born."
"Oh! Oh! What is 1792!" Turtle bounced excitedly, biting her lip against a grin because she actually did know that one.
"What is 1815?"
"I'm sorry, that's incorrect. The correct answer is 1792. 17. 92."
Turtle beamed over toward Dick with a toothy grin, as he was the one who could bear witness to her awesomeness.

"Well..." Yeah, she had no words.

Oh, bullocks. "Hi, Annette," she said simply, shifting uncomfortably on the sofa and putting all her attention back into the stupid game show.

She was glaring and she was enjoying glaring.

"You can come in, you know," she said; she turned her head to look at Annette, but found she couldn't exactly hold the gaze. Instead, she just held up her bowl. "We've got popcorn."

She bit her lip, thinking, then blurted out, "Do you know anything about charities?"
no subject
Head tilting, Turtle blinked. "Yeah. Not a whole lot because I'm still working on getting to a more stable platform before I look too heavily into that, but I want to one day donate to a lot of different charities. I'm gonna help out with Conner's soccer camp one day, and I've been donating a lot to help with school functions for now, start out small, y'know? Why do you ask?"

"Get rid of...Rikku, are we talking about money? Because if you don't want it, I assure you, I have no problem with suggesting the charity of T.R. Wexler, and then I'll use the money to find you a nice hospital so they can figure out what's wrong with your brain for not wanting money."
