Third Floor Common Room, Late Sunday Evening

Rikku had no idea why she was up. She should be tired, but she wasn't. Go figure!

Luckily, her Monday class wasn't until after lunch, so it was okay if she stayed up late. She'd even remembered to bring snacks this time. Lots of sugary goodness and crunchy stuff.

The TV said it was a Movie Monster Marathon and Rikku was learning all kinds of stuff. She felt like taking notes. She'd have to ask someone later if any of these creatures were real or not. Most of them weren't anywhere in Spira, that was for sure.

(so very open!)

Hamlet smiled at Rikku, and took a seat on the couch. It took a couple minutes of watching the screen to grasp what was going on.

"Oh, these zombies are definetly fake." He pointed at the screen. "If you look carefully at the left half of the screen, you can see a few members of the production crew in the background."

He leaned back against the couch. "The zombies that invaded the school during the second month I was here, and the zombies that work at Caritas are most definietly real, however."

Hamlet surrepticiously tried to steal some chips from Rikku's bag.

"We could refer to these ones as Faux Zombies. Faux!Zombies? Fombies? Perhaps something else entirely different?"

"I think we've encountered different kinds of zombies. I've never seen any with green smog before," he said.

Hamlet affected a mock-serious tone."My Lady Rikku, would you doing me the great honour of allowing me to share your chips with you?"

He even threw a royal bow (well, as much as was possible from slouching on a couch) to her.

"I thank you kindly, milady." He took a couple handfuls from the bag and started eating the chips one by one. Mmmm, grease-covered fried potatoes.

He considered both Rikku's description and the movie on the screen. "The kind you mention definitely seems different from the kind that invaded. Those ones dragged themselves slowly through town, and needed to be shot to be killed for good. They didn't make anyone at the school a zombie.

He paused. "As far as I know. It would have explained a lot about that one student who was obsessed with bodily functions."

He nodded. "It does, but only as long as you have and know a gun. With anything else, they tend to be hard to fight." He popped a couple more chips in his mouth. "And I wouldn't say that I knew that student well, but it came up on the radio enough to take notice."

"Oh should have been. Anything involving ammunition would have been good enough to stop them."

Hamlet just starred at Rikku with that last comment. "I don't even want to think about it. And now I find myself pondering how squirrels take notes on all these things."
