Third Floor Common Room, Late Sunday Evening

Rikku had no idea why she was up. She should be tired, but she wasn't. Go figure!

Luckily, her Monday class wasn't until after lunch, so it was okay if she stayed up late. She'd even remembered to bring snacks this time. Lots of sugary goodness and crunchy stuff.

The TV said it was a Movie Monster Marathon and Rikku was learning all kinds of stuff. She felt like taking notes. She'd have to ask someone later if any of these creatures were real or not. Most of them weren't anywhere in Spira, that was for sure.

"They could be real," she argued, settling down beside him. "I have no way of knowing. Especially here."

"Definitely fake in the movies." Seely pointed to the screen. "You can see the seams in the costume."

"That's what Luke said about the animals in the space movie," Aravis grumbled. "I maintain that it could be part of their anatomy."

"You can see the stuntman's wristwatch through it."

"I am not one to judge the appearance of another."

"Even when that appearance is entirely due to a rubber costume?"

"It is not its fault if this creature has an unfortunate skin affliction."

"And now you've ruined the end of the film for me," Aravis said mock-woefully.

"Oh, no," Seely replied, putting on a concerned expression. "How can I ever make it up to you?"

"You shall have to devise some method," Aravis said solemnly. "And it will have to be good, for I am deeply upset."

Seely clapped a hand to over his heart. "Not deeply upset?"

"Deeply, deeply wounded and upset, yes," she said, nodding.

Seely reached out for her hand. "I'm definitely going to have to come up with something good then."

"I've had a simply awful day, so it should ve very, very good," she said, trying not to smile as she intertwined their fingers.

Seely started placing small kisses over the back of her hand. "How awful?"

"Woke up to a horse in my room."

Seely couldn't help it, he started giggling.

"Oh, of course, it's funny to you," Aravis said. "Have you ever coaxed a horse down four flights of stairs? The cow was easy by comparison!"

"I've never been around horses, so no."

"That will change," she said with confidence. "It was difficult work. I was glad to learn it wasn't your work, though, as that was what I thought initially."

"But they're kind of...big, and horse-like."

Seely pouted. "You thought I'd be that unoriginal?"

"They're horses," she said, giving him a look. "And I'd hoped not, but what was I supposed to think when I woke up to livestock in my room?"
