Third Floor Common Room, Late Sunday Evening

Rikku had no idea why she was up. She should be tired, but she wasn't. Go figure!

Luckily, her Monday class wasn't until after lunch, so it was okay if she stayed up late. She'd even remembered to bring snacks this time. Lots of sugary goodness and crunchy stuff.

The TV said it was a Movie Monster Marathon and Rikku was learning all kinds of stuff. She felt like taking notes. She'd have to ask someone later if any of these creatures were real or not. Most of them weren't anywhere in Spira, that was for sure.

(so very open!)

"Ooh, snacks. Have you anything with sugar?" Aravis asked. "And I agree absolutely. Any of these things could show up and no one in this town would be surprised."

"I haven't yet," she said, shaking her head. "There hasn't been a moment to, really. But the cow thing went well! He was slightly startled! And then there was a horse in my room this morning, but surprisingly it wasn't a gift of retaliation."

"You did?" Aravis's eyebrows shot up. "Did it go...well, did it go well enough that it's not common room talk?"

"I'm happy for you. A-S-A-P?" she asked, not touching the question of whether she'd actually do any talking of her own.

Aravis stared. "But talking means...talking."

[identity profile] notqueenyet.livejournal.com 2007-06-11 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Aravis smiled a little. "But first there's talking."

[identity profile] notqueenyet.livejournal.com 2007-06-11 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Aravis rolled her eyes. "It will be uncomfortable."

[identity profile] notqueenyet.livejournal.com 2007-06-11 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
"It truly is," she said. "At least if I'd died I wouldn't have to deal with the aftermath of my words."

[identity profile] notqueenyet.livejournal.com 2007-06-11 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Perhaps," Aravis said, still looking unconvinced. "Or! Or I could just never say a word and it will also be fine."

"...I'll take talking under advisement," Aravis sighed.
