Rikku had no idea why she was up. She should be tired, but she wasn't. Go figure!

Luckily, her Monday class wasn't until after lunch, so it was okay if she stayed up late. She'd even remembered to bring snacks this time. Lots of sugary goodness and crunchy stuff.

The TV said it was a Movie Monster Marathon and Rikku was learning all kinds of stuff. She felt like taking notes. She'd have to ask someone later if any of these creatures were real or not. Most of them weren't anywhere in Spira, that was for sure.

"Well, considering how cheerfully Zuko's been telling people about you two..." Never mind that the radio squirrel's note about Zuko telling Aly hadn't indicated tone or anything.

Mel snorted. "Yeah. Now I know you're lying. Zuko? Cheerful? Ha."

Then she glared at him again. "Call me a Firelady again and you'll be missing a spleen. Got it?"

"But was in the radio notes and everything." Seely attempted the puppy eyes. "Plus I think Aravis likes my spleen where it is."

"Just don't let it happen again," Mel replied grudgingly. "And then you can keep Aravis happy. However if you pull a chocolate cow thing on her again she might want something else taken out of you."

"I won't tell her about chocolate cows again," Seely said. "I've learnt my lesson there."

Operation: Pink Wardrobe, however, had nothing in common with chocolate cows.

Mel gave Seely a suspicious look. "And when I mean a chocolate cow thing, I mean the thing where you pull a mean joke on her again."

"If I'd known she'd take the chocolate cow thing that seriously I wouldn't have said it. So, no, no more mean jokes."

"Good. Or you'll find something worse than a cow in your room," Mel said with a grin.

Seely braced himself. "But won't Zuko get jealous?"

"Why would Zuko be jealous?" Mel asked giving him another glare.

"Well, if you just turn up in my room like that..."

"You're saying I'm worse than a cow?!"

Mel started looking for something large and heavy to throw at Seely's head.

"Well, I can think of less terrifying things to wake up to." That was kind of a compliment, vaguely.

Lacking any other kind of ammunition Mel took her boot off and flung it at Seely's head.

Seely ducked the boot. "See, and that's why."

"Were you born with a death wish?" Mel growled. "Or did some traumatic event make you this way?"

"You just threw a shoe at my head, and you want to know about traumatic events?"

"I'm trying to gauge how much crap I should pummel out of you," Mel snarked.
