Third Floor Common Room, Late Sunday Evening

Rikku had no idea why she was up. She should be tired, but she wasn't. Go figure!

Luckily, her Monday class wasn't until after lunch, so it was okay if she stayed up late. She'd even remembered to bring snacks this time. Lots of sugary goodness and crunchy stuff.

The TV said it was a Movie Monster Marathon and Rikku was learning all kinds of stuff. She felt like taking notes. She'd have to ask someone later if any of these creatures were real or not. Most of them weren't anywhere in Spira, that was for sure.

"Good thing you're not blind." Rikku bounced a little. "This is awesome. Couples are so cute. Well, most of them. I mean, some you just want to hit with something. But that's not you guys."

"Just don't tell her that," Seely said. "She doesn't like to be called cute, even when she is."

Rikku giggled. "Hey, guys are weird, too, you know. Jude makes a face whenever I say he's sweet. Is that a guy thing?"

"That's because guys are not sweet," Seely replied, grinning. "We're manly."

Rikku laughed. "Is that it? But if you do something really, you know, kind and considerate and ... sweet's such a good word! Last time he didn't like it, so I told him I meant it in a really rugged, outdoorsy kinda way. You know, like, Manly Hunter Sweet."

Seely snickered. "Nope, never sweet. And our insides never, ever turn to goo when a girl we like tells us that."

Rikku blushed. "Okay, that helps, then, 'cause I thought maybe he thought I was, uh. You know. I didn't know what 'sweet' meant, in guy terms, and ... yeah." She toescuffed, laughing a little. "Man, I'm not so good at this, but it's fun, you know?"
