Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

Once again, there were appetising scents emanating from the fifth-floor common room. Ronan was in another cooking mood. This time, it was the rich and spicy scent of Mexican -- well, technically Tex-Mex -- food, grilling chicken, sweet chilies, and a dash of cumin, with sliced bell peppers and onions in another pan. Ronan was still chopping and preparing, but already on the counter was an array of tortillas, and various moddable toppings that people might wish to put on their fajitas.

(OOC: Hey, he's cooking again. Come feed your characters. Open to ALL. :D )

"Exactly," Turtle mused, like it was a totally important job.

She paused.

"And cover him with gold stars."

Nod.

"So he shines like cookware," Charlie agreed. "Making it easier to follow him."

Turtle couldn't help giggling a little at that. "That's a really good point. We might need to wear shades on sunny days, though, for risk of him blinding us."

"Cooking shades," Charlie said, snickering and nodding. "And lighters, to hold up while he's cooking and call for an encore!"

"Ooooh," Turtle enthused with a big, goofy grin. "You know, it's frightening how well all of this is coming together."

"It's awesome," Charlie said, nodding hard. "Therefore it is meant to be!"

"I hope we have a lot of gold stars at the store," Turtle said with a nod of her own. "I know there's plenty of silver, but silver? Just will not do. No way, Jose. Must be gold."

"Definitely." Charlie finished up her fajita, then looked thoughtful. "Would it be rude not to have a second one?"

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-06-13 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
"The height of rudeness," Turtle declared with a firm nod. "My high, dignified manners are appalled that you would even suggest otherwise, Charlie, and, for retribution, I insist you eat another one, lest you shame the name of the Nomadic Celtic Chef and all subsequent fangirls."

Then Turtle promptly shoved her fajita into her mouth, to keep from giggling.

With immense dignity and her nose very high in the air, Charlie got to her feet, and said, "To reclaim my honor, and the name of all fangirls of the Nomadic Celtic Chef, I'm going to step up to the plate, mix a metaphor, and have a second fajita. Cover me. I'm going in."

Then she turned on her heel to keep from giggling madly herself.

Turtle, meanwhile, totally lost it, and had to forfeit part of her fajita to a napkin before she choked on it and was glad for the fact that she was near the couch to fall on during her fit of giggling. This was almost as good as the time her and Katara were being attacked by their bra--

Turtle's giggling abruptly stopped. No! No thinking of braids, because that lead to emo! She shook her head, tried to get back to where she was. "Go for it, Charlie!" she called in a stage whisper. "Totally have your back."
