Gym, After Workshops - Cheerleading Practice[6/13]

Phoebe was free for the afternoon, so she managed to get to the gym early to set up for cheerleading practice.

She dragged out the mats for everyone and then started playing some music. There was also a table off to the side with drinks and snacks.

While she was waiting for people to show up, she did some back bends to stretch out her shoulder and back muscles.

"Ha! I've been in Fandom for over a year," Molly said. "It'd take a lot more than that to break me."

"I dunno, cheering is pretty intense!" John smiled.

"By the way, are we still on for the Friday event or have you gotten yourself a real date?"

Molly waved a hand dismissively. "I'm not going to end up with a date so, yes we are still on for Friday."

"You sound so excited," he said with a smirk, stretching out his achy stomach. "I just hope it's a good event and they don't try to make me wear a costume this week."

"It's a music festival so it should be fun," she said. "We get some cool bands coming here to play sometimes."

"Oh? Anyone I've heard of?"

~~The player's memory sucked so~~ Molly shook her head. "Probably not. They come from different dimensions."

"That's too bad. Do they do battle of the bands?"

"I don't think so," she said. "They might though. You never know."

"One can only hope!" he said.

"So, I talked to Annette today."

Molly suddenly found her pom poms very interesting. "Oh yeah?"

John smirked, "Yeah. Not that I should even be talking to you about this here. Needless to say, she wasn't happy with me."

Molly frowned. "She wasn't..." she muttered and then shook her head and looked up at John with the same defiant expression she'd given him when she admitted what she'd said to Annette. "I'm not sorry."

He sighed, "You gotta cut her some slack, Molls. She didn't mean it."

Molly nodded. "And I believe her. Which is why she doesn't have anything to worry about from me!" She gave him a big grin. "As long as she never does anything like that again."

John relaxed, "Great, because I'd hate to be the cause of any trouble between the two of you."

Molly shook her head. "Nope! I like Annette. I just thought that she did something that could have gotten you in a lot of trouble. She said she'd never do it again and everything is good!"

"Good to hear," he looked around at the cheerleaders. "You know, we should get flag football t-shirts or something like a uniform."

"That would be cool!" Molly said. "Gold for the gold team and blue for the blue?"

"Yeah. Maybe I should see if Turtle & Canary would sponsor the teams," he mused.

"Oh! That's a good idea!" Molly said. "Since it's not a school sport and you can't get uniforms that way. Maybe you could get Caritas to sponsor too."

"Two sponsors are better than one," John grinned at Molly's idea. "I'll talk to Turtle about it tomorrow, and maybe we can catch Professor Bluth Friday when we're at the music festival."

"Okay!"

Molly gave him a wary look. "Do you need back up for talking to Turtle?" she asked. "I could hang around and listen for screams of pain."

John shook his head, "No need, she and I are getting ice cream together tomorrow."

Molly raised her eyebrows. "So she forgave you for the braid cutting then?"
