Marco was standing in front of the television, apparently fascinated by the cooking show. Of course, this was a little hard to tell, since Marco was a llama at that moment. It was also a little hard to tell that it was Marco. The remote control was well hidden under a couch cushion. There was no food out, though.

"Ohhhh. So it's like Isabel's alien ability, or, or, Johnny being able to set himself on fire. All animals? I mean, it would work for any of them if you had DNA?" Charlie stopped and stared at Marco again. "This is the weirdest conversation I've ever had. Ever."

Marco was very proud of that. < I'm not an alien! It's uh, well, sorta a present thing? Complicated. And it needs to be the actual animal. >

"So how many can you be now?" Charlie asked, curious. "And-- a present? Just a neat ability, someone gave it to you for your birthday?"

Marco thought for a moment. < About three dozen? Maybe four? Give or take. And ... no, more complicated then that. It wasn't my birthday, for starters. >

"It never is," Charlie said, thinking of Z and Alec too, and wondering if Marco's deal was like that. "And wow! You're your own petting zoo! Can you be a cat?" She grinned. "I like the llama look, though."

"Are they likely to?" Charlie asked, looking worried for a moment. "Wait, how long would it take you to turn back into a guy?"
