Fourth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Marco was standing in front of the television, apparently fascinated by the cooking show. Of course, this was a little hard to tell, since Marco was a llama at that moment. It was also a little hard to tell that it was Marco. The remote control was well hidden under a couch cushion. There was no food out, though.

Wow, what a question.

"I'm torn somewhere between aliens blowing up the school, pudding rain, and getting legwarmers spat at me by a locker.

Charlie almost did a spit-take. "Legwarmers?"

"Mmm, lotsa different colours," Mac said, nodding in confirmation. "It was one of the first weird things I saw, and it kinda stuck."

"That would," Charlie had to agree. "My first weird thing was Karal's horse turning into a person. Everything else was either something I'd heard of or seen before, or could've been just because people were on drugs."

"The island itself is probably on drugs," Mac remarked fiddling with her coffe mug. "Animals turning into people, is... well, not normal. Vice versa, would be normal. But, well, not unsurprising, at the very least."

"How do you drug an island?" Charlie wondered. "Something in the bay? Toxic waste?"

Mac shrugged. "Not an area I know much about," she said with a slight grin. "Would explain a lot, though."

Charlie snickered and took a sip of her coffee. "Best explanation I've heard of. The Island keeps having acid flashbacks, or something. And so, animals become people. Next there'll be pink elephants."

"There probably already has been, we just missed them," Mac said.
