Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday Evening

This was getting to be a habit.

Ronan pulled the casserole dish from the oven, and set it on the counter. When he pulled off the lid, the odour of the meatballs, in their savoury, tangy, tomato sauce, escaped and filled the room -- and, if prior experience was any indication, likely the entire building. He pulled a packet of toothpicks out of his basket, setting it beside the casserole, the only kind of utensil for this kind of meal; this was definitely a 'stand, eat, and chat' evening, and there was plenty for anyone who wanted to come by. There were also crackers laid out on a tray. and some sliced peppers, to help round out the meal.

"This?" Ronan shrugged. "Nah, this is pretty simple. All-out would be a curry dinner. ... Which I may make this weekend."

"Is that gonna be for sharing, too?" Summer asked.

Ronan nodded. "I think it's physically impossible to make a curry for only one person. Moreso when you're me." He grinned. "There will definitely be enough for sharing."

"Well, I will try to be around for that," Summer said.

Ronan nodded. "If it happens this weekend, it'll probably be on Sunday," he said. "I've got other plans for Saturday."

"Ooh, weekend plans are the best kind," Summer said.

Ronan nodded. "Anders and I are planning to blow up some cupcakes," he said. "Do you know Anders?"

"That sounds...messy," Summer said. "I know him, but not well."

Ronan grinned. "Well, he promised to clean up. We're... recreating a disaster from my childhood." He paused. "You never, ever want to ask me to actually bake anything."

Summer laughed. "At least you can cook. I can't cook or bake. I'd either give everyone food poisoning or burn down the dorms. No one wants that."

Ronan raised his eyebrow. "Exploding cupcakes." He grinned. "I think I might have an equal chance of burning down the dorms, at least with baking."
