Second Floor Common Room - Sunday Afternoon

Dog!Prue had been wandering the halls Sunday afternoon, looking for some fun. She had gotten to the common room to see if there was something good to eat off the floor when there was another flash of light and she turned back into her human form.

Prue pulled herself off the floor and brushed some dog hair off her pajama bottoms. "Why am I always the one who turns into dogs and men?"

After football practice John found himself in the common room. So what if it was the wrong floor?

He was slightly surprised to find Prue still in pajamas, "Hey, Prue! I haven't seen you around lately. How goes it?"

"Uh..." She brushed more dog hair off her shirt. "I turned into a dog."

"Well, there seems to be some sort of epidemic of that going around," John replied. "What was it like?"

"Sadly, this wasn't the first time it happened to me. So it was all very familiar." she said. "My nephew took good care of me though."

"Now turning into a dog more than once might worry me if I didn't know you were a witch," John said, smiling. "My roommate and I were discussing this just last night. I made him promise not to feed me dog food if I became a dog."

Prue scrunched up her nose at the mention of dog food. "Gross! No dog food for me. I'm pretty sure I tried to catch a few of the radio squirrels. Thankfully I didn't get one. The radio pirate would kill me."

John laughed, "It would serve the squirrels right if they got eaten by a dog." He looked around the common room. "They just heard me say that, didn't they?"

"Yes, they probably did." she said, giggling. "Now they're going to spread nasty rumors about you over radio."

"Well, let's make sure they have some interesting tales to tell," he smirked.

"I think this school doesn't need anymore help in the interesting tales department." said Prue. "I'd hate to see us try to act normal."

"What would be a 'normal teen' thing to do?" John wasn't sure he remembered.

"Go to movies, hang out at the beach...not turn into dogs." she said. "That sort of thing."

"Then we should do one of those things," John decided he'd just go for it like Annette had said. Hopefully, Prue was interested.

"We should." said Prue, smiling. Prue couldn't believe that John would be interested in her right now. She was in her pj's and covered in dog hair after all.

"Great!" John said. "The beach is rather nice when it's hot out."

(John was all sweaty from running sprints during football practice. He was so not going to complain about cute pj's and dog fur.)

"Is is. And I could definitely go for some swimming." She laughed a little and added "Not dog paddling."

"Awww...that would've been fun, though!" John snickered. "We'll have to work on floating and treading water instead."

"That I can do." she said. After laying around all week as a dog she was looking to do something away from the dorms.

"When do you think you'd be inclined to swim and sunbathe?" John asked, thinking about the entire week of freedom in front of him and what great inventions bathing suits were.

"How's tomorrow for you?"

"Perfect!" John replied.

"Good." she said with a grin. "I'll be beach-ready after a good night's sleep in an actual bed. I've been sleeping on the floor all week."

"Ouch," John grimaced. "You obviously weren't one of those pampered dogs they show on Animal Planet."

Prue laughed and shook her head. "Nope. I definitely wasn't a show dog."

"Well, you'll have to talk with your nephew about the sleeping accommodations should you become a dog again," John mused.

"Oh that better not happen again. Twice was enough for me." she said. "I actually could have done without ever becoming a dog. Ever."

John chuckled, "I can only imagine."
