Fourth Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Marco decided to welcome all the new students in the true Fandom fashion: shock value. So there is an anteater sitting there, watching television. The remote control? Is hidden, as well Marco's clothes because he likes the first Fatal Rock Die Hard and doesn't like running around in underwear. There's also a bowl of popcorn, though any other food would have to be found in the kitchen.

[Open like a common room that is open.]

"No, please, it is fine. Don't apologise. And yes, something like that, but more permanent." He smiled ruefully. "This world is different from mine," he offered by way of explanation for the blush.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Johnny said, taking Karal's words as metaphorical. "Mine too. 'Ve never stayed in one place for more than a couple days at a time, y'know?"

"I spent most of my life in one place and never expected to leave it," he replied, looking thoughtful. "Which is the exact opposite experience, but I believe the feelings are much the same." Johnny's easy acceptance of the existence of other worlds prompted him to ask, "If you are not from here, do you mind if I ask where you're from? I am from Karse, which as best I can establish is in another dimension."

"All over, really. 'M Dad and I work as part of a traveling carnival, so we go wherever it goes. Never been to Karse. 'S it nice there?"

He raised an eyebrow at the last bit. "Another dimension? What, Canada?"

"It is nice. My home was the Temple of the Sunlord, in Sunhame - it is the capital of Karse." He was looking extremely puzzled, though. "I thought Canada was part of this continent, which would make it part of this world, wouldn't it? Does it exist in somewhere else, as well?"
