School grounds, Tuesday evening
It hadn't taken long for Hamlet to pack up everything in his dorm room. Really, he'd been doing little bits of it all over the last week, throwing his things and the bits that Duo had left behind into a suitcase.
So he'd called a taxi, and had dragged his bags down several flights of stairs after being unable to find the legendary dormitory elevator. It was still nice outside, so he didn't mind waiting all that much.
It still felt sad leaving the place he'd called home for almost two years now.
[OOC: Open. This'll be Hamlet's last post in Fandom before going back home to Denmark for good.]

"I'll both call you and send something as soon as I take care of business and get settled in back home. I'd love to show Denmark, but not under my uncle's thumb."
He smiled. "And prank Anakin Skywalker, if you can. Tell him that it's a gift from the Deep Thoughts Club."

She bounced on her toes. "I'll totally prank him. He's really nice, you know. You should call him, too. And, uh, you can always not go yet. If you wanna hang around the rest of the summer. I mean, that'd be cool, or whatever."
no subject
He shook his head sadly. "I can't. I've run out of any past excuses that I've been using as a tetherline to the school. I need to let go, and accept the adult responsibilities that I was meant to bear."

She waited just a few seconds too long to make it seem casual. "You, uh, I mean ... you could hang out for cheer camp. Or tell them that I totally got amnesia and you need to chill out for a bit until I remember my name and my love of loud clothing." She made a face. "Or, uh, I can stop being stupid and just make you visit a lot?"
no subject
He had to take a deep breath in and out before replying to her second statement. "I will try to come back as much as I can. I will be at the end of summer cheerleading demonstrations, and I want to see how much you and the rest of the squad have improved by then. And be aware that you will have a standing invitation to Denmark, on behalf of the royal family."
Hamlet reached out to put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm only going back home. I'm not dying."

She took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, I know, I'm just ... I hate it when people leave. Yunie and Lulu and everyone, they're back home, and you'll be off in wherever the heck Denmark is, and ... it sucks, yeah?" She hesitated for a moment, and then leaned forward to give him a light hug. Hey, he would just have to deal with it.

Hamlet hugged her back. When he pulled away after a couple of minutes, he dropped to the ground and started rummaging through his bag. When he stood back up, he held out a certain hot pink bunny.
"Here. You take the little monster. Think of it as having a piece of me remaining in Fandom."
no subject
She looked at the bunny for a moment and then giggled madly. "No way! I remember him! He stole a drawing from me and I gave him random crap from my pockets to get him back. He's a happy little klepto bunny!"
She squeezed Mr Canute Mimir Fluffypants and snuggled and then laughed. "So you're leaving behind something neon and secretly evil and sure to cause some mischief. I think that sounds about right, yeah?"
no subject
He rubbed the synthetic pink fur on Mr Canute Mimir Fluffypants' head. "Be good to him for me." He looked up. "And be good to yourself too."

Although he wouldn't admit it at all, he was starting to get emotional from the memories.

"Kill my uncle to avenge the ghost of my murdered Father, mostly."

"And then I'll play polo. Do they make polo shirts in black?"

"I'll miss you, Zero. You were a good friend to me" he said quietly.

Were those glistenings in his eyes? No, couldn't be.
