Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning (After Period 1)

With class done with for the day, Lucas settled on the couch in the third floor common room with pizza. Yes, pizza for breakfast. And he wasn't stupid, either. There was plenty to go around in case the smell attracted other like-minded student types.

Ooh and hey, Rescued by the Alarm was on.

Claire would be one of those like-minded student types. She was attracted partly by the smell of pizza, partly because It was Rescued by the Alarm, and she kinda sorta had a crush on DC when she was a kid.

So she waited in the door for a second, then came in.

"All that pizza for you?"

Lucas looked up. "I may have an unusually large appetite according to some people, but no. I've just learned that if you're eating in a common room, bring enough for ten more people or go without. Help yourself."

"Cool," Claire said, and used that as an invitation to sit on the couch and grab a slice.

"I'm Claire."

Zack waved to Claire. "Morning."

"Morning," Claire replied, imitating the wave. "How's it going?"

River waved to Claire amd smiled happily.

Claire waved back, grinning. "How're things?"

Zack flopped down on the couch. "Hey."

"Hey," Lucas said to his roommate. "Pizza?"

"Thanks," Zack said, snagging a slice. "Is it just me or are our teachers stranger than usual this session?"

Her mouth full of pizza, River raised a hand and waved to Zack.

Zack grinned back. "Hey, River."

Donatello wandered in, holding his hands against his head where one would assume his ears would be if you could see them. The reason was likely the song that seemed to be playing around him, rather jauntily considering the lyrics.

"As fascinating as this is, I think I'm going to have to invest in earmuffs," he grumbled.

"Morning announcement says 'random background music'," Donnie said with a sigh. "Ooh, pizza!"

Claire was proud of herself for not staring at all at the giant turtle. Instead she chose to direct her 'wtf' face towards the ambient music.

"What is that?"

"A song about a mad scientist, I think," Donnie said, giving Claire a somewhat sheepish smile. "It seems to have decided it likes me."

Zack frowned and tilted his head to the side. "That singer sounds familiar."

Which would be when yet another jaunty song started playing around Zack.

"Does he? I don't think I've heard him before," Don said, blinking at Zack's song as his own seemed to turn up the volume a little in response.

I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you

Donnie sighed and looked sheepish. "Sorry, it's not exactly my choice of song," he said.

River was on her way out for a walk before class, but the smell of pizza distracted her. She hadn't had pizza since before summer. Quietly entering the common room, she smiled at the people there. "Pizza for all?" she asked.

"For anyone who stops by," Lucas nodded, "and can put up with Rescued by the Alarm re-runs. Help yourself."

Mel entered the room with the theme from Shaft playing with her.

"Okay. When does the rutting soundtrack leave us?"
