School grounds, front lawn, Monday after workshops

Johnny had homework to do for his How To be Awesome workshop. Hopefully it was going to go well.

He was shirtless, thinking this would aid him in his picking up chicks abilities. Not that he really needed it. Come on. And he had his spy cam all ready to go. He was actually looking forward to using some of these pick up lines. Cheesy they may be, he still thought them cool.

Sitting down on the lawn, he brought along a supercross magazine to pass the time. 

Come on chicks!

(ooc: Johnny is trying to pick up chicks using specific pick-up lines from his workshop class. He will use his spy cam to record all of this. If you allow him to try and pick up your character, you have the right to smack him, kick him, throw a beverage at him, whatever...or? you can totally give him your number. Just let me know oocly that it is all right for him to try. Otherwise, just chat away!)

On his way back from visiting Chad, Teddy couldn't help but pause and stare. Really now, who wouldn't?

"Do you even own a shirt at this point?"

A.J. needed more paint thinner. A.J. had to get passed a shirtless Johnny first. Even though A.J. was definitely not a girl.

"Oh, God!" he winced, laughing, and moved his hands and arms up as if to deflect the sight. "Geezus, Johnny, you weren't kidding about that shirtless thing, were you?"

"I'm currently in the middle of a homework assignment," he said, smiling.

"Homework assig--" A.J. snorted. "Is this for the thing for How to Be Awesome? The picking up chicks thing?"

"That it is," Johnny said. "Got to give it my best shot. If it doesn't work here, guess I'm going to have to head to the bar tonight, check things out there. What about you? Done yours yet?"

"Uh, no, not yet," A.J. admitted. "I've been a little busy. I take it it hasn't quite been working for you yet?" He looked around trying to spot where the spy camera might be.

Teddy laughed, shaking his head. "I'm certain I've seen you at least once with a shirt on."

That spy camera was hidden in a very neat spot. Very inconspicuously. Johnny cocked his head, watching A.J. looking around. "I wouldn't say that yet - this is only the beginning. Got to give these things time, get comfortable, wait out the minutes." He leaned back, bracing his arms behind him.

Ronan grinned at Johnny as he walked by. "Well, hello, there," he said, cocking his eyebrow. "Enjoying the day, are we?"

Johnny raised his brows, grinning, "Well, hello yourself. And I'm certainly trying."

"I know I'm enjoying it more, now." Ronan laughed. "Oh! Also. I got your phone message! Sorry I didn't call back. I, uh. Forgot to."

"Oh, no big deal. Was just wondering how you've been," he replied, smiling. "Been busy?"

"Uh-huh," A.J. said, smirking, and using his air of skepticism perhaps to take in the view. A bit. For...comparative purposes. Artistic reference. Something like that. Purely not for the mere sake of looking, of course. "Good luck, I guess?"

Yeah. Johnny definitely had a better chance of succeeding this way than he ever would. Scratch this off his list of possible approaches...

The tips of Teddy's ears started to turn red, spreading pretty quickly as he tried to think of an honest way to answer the question without the whole boyfriend thing making him feel really guilty.

"Whatever you prefer," He said quickly.

"Thanks, man," Johnny said, giving A.J. a cocky grin. He was totally checking him out.

"Why don't you pull up some lawn; never know, some chick might come out here and want to talk to you," he suggested. "Could practice working your lines."

"A little, yeah," Ronan replied. "With clinic stuff over the dinosaur weekend, and some handwavy stuff for some of my friends. Nothing as in-depth as the time I went over that spell, but..."

Abigail was headed into town, and couldn't really avoid passing by Johnny on the lawn. "Are you trying to get a tan?" she asked.

Johnny chuckled, "Perfect shirtless weather." He wouldn't want to make Teddy feel guilty so would really try hard not to flirt. Yes, he's been at Fandom long enough to know that flirting with guys is pretty much okay. Maybe. The one's with big ass Mexican boyfriends might be an exception.

He nodded, "Cool. And what have you done today so far? Or are you just out chilling, trying to catch goodlooking guys on the front lawn?"

"Just chilling," Ronan said. "The good-looking guys on the lawn are just a bonus. A very attractive bonus."

Ooh, Abigail! Johnny struck a pose; leaned back on one elbow and looked her over, "Hadn't really thought about a tan, no. Just enjoying the warmth of the day." He grinned. "How've you been, Abigail?"

A.J. laughed shortly, ducking his head with a bashful bite on his lip. "Yeah, right," he said, trying to keep a grin, but it was weak. "I'd have to pick a spot on the other side of the school. No girl's going to talk to me with you standing there, too..."

Well, it was true! He had...nothing on Johnny.

Johnny gave Ronan a lazy once-over. "Care to join me?"
