Third Floor Common Room, Thursday Evening

Tori made her way to the common room a little while after checking in on Hermione. Right now, she wasn't up to sitting in her room, so the common room was the next logical choice.

Tori wasn't exactly happy with who had temporarily replaced Zoe as Principal, especially after hearing Hermione's take on the situation.

So, to keep her thoughts off of the subject for now, Tori was making smoothies. She had a wide variety of fruit to use, so she was trying new mixes.

Everyone was welcome to the smoothies, should they want some.

Jim followed his nose. Smoothies. Mmm. Smoothies not made of algae. Even better.

Lana wandered in and smiled when she saw Jim. "Hey you."

Jim grinned over at her. "There are smoothies," he greeted her suavely.

"I think I'm looking at one," she said with a grin.

Jim groaned theatrically. "That was bad."

She curled up on the sofa. "I'm just in a weird mood," she said with a grin.

"Weird-good or weird-bad?" Jim smiled. "I'm reserving judgement on whether bad jokes is either."

"Weird-weird," she said with a grin. "But mostly good, I guess."

"Weird-weird?" Jim shook his head as he sat beside her. "Should I be afraid?"

"Maybe?" She smiled up at him.

He scootched away from her, affecting a scared look.

Jim looked innocent.

"Hey Jim," Tori smiled, waving slightly. "Care for a smoothie?"

"Love one," he said happily. Teenage boy. Fuelled by small black hole. You know.

Tori grinned and handed him one. "Strawberry banana okay? There's a few other flavors here, if you'd like a different one."

"No, that's great, thanks. As long as it doesn't involve algae." He took the smoothie and sipped. "Yum."

"You're welcome," Tori raised an amused eyebrow. "I can assure you it definitely doesn't involve algae," she chuckled. "How are you?"

"Not bad," he said easily, leaning against the counter of the kitchenette. "In fact, I would go so far as to say good. Great, even."

Tori nodded, finding it hard not to smile at that. "I'm glad to hear that. Workshops going okay?"

"So far? Way better than the last round." He rolled his eyes.

"What are you taking?"

"Scouting and Patriotism, Yay!." Jim pronounced the punctuation in a deadpan manner.

Tori tried to hold in her laugh, really she did. She just failed miserably. "That bad, huh?"

"I've gotten the 'patriotism' bit, I'm still wondering where the 'yay' comes in." Jim grinned at making her laugh.
