The Gym, Saturday Morning

With the realization that she hadn't worked out in quite some time, Tori made her way down to the gym to rectify that.

It was early but Tori was up and decided it was a good time to get a workout. Which was why she was currently doing a number on the punching bag.

Troy made his way to the gym to work on the weight machines. As he entered, he smiled warmly and nodded at Tori. "Hi," he said, as he walked to the machines. "Good workout?"

"Hey," Tori greeted him, with a smile. "Yeah, it's effective," she chuckled. "I'm Tori Hanson, I don't believe we've met."

"Troy Bolton!" he responded cheerfully. "I only came in for this session. Still lots of people to meet." Grinning, he added, "Good way to meet people would be to get involved in our show!"

"Nice to meet you, Troy," Tori grinned. "Oh yeah, I saw the posters for the show. Was it a nice turn out? I'd get involved in the show except I've recently graduate from here, which means I'll have to be leaving soon," she explained, her smile faltering ever so slightly.

"Aww," Troy said, pouting. "That sucks. We got an okay turnout, but it would be great to have more people. If you change your mind and want to be involved before you go, you should drop by mine and A.J.'s room. 402. He and I are both running this, so... Hey, when do you leave? I mean, we're looking to do this in just about a month, so if you're going to be around a little longer, and have the time..."

"I might do that, yeah," Tori nodded, seriously considering it. "I was planning on leaving towards the end of August, possibly the beginning of September."

"Then you should totally come by. And if you wanted to prepare a song and a monologue, we might be able to fit you into a role somewhere, too." Troy grinned. "Seriously, any time you want to come by over the next day or so! Final cast list will go up tomorrow, and our first rehearsal should be Tuesday night. Although we'll be doing rehearsals on Sunday evenings after that."

Tori figured a tryout couldn't hurt, she might just prepare something. Maybe. "I will definitely be there," she nodded, smiling brightly. "Okay, sounds good. Do you know what time Tuesday? I work until five at Book Haven, but I'm assuming it would be later?" She was free Sunday evenings, so that was good.

"Great!" He paused, considering things. "Actually... rather than having you come by, if you want, you could just sing a little something here. Kind of a little mini-audition."

"A mini-audition, huh?" Tori considered that, wondering what the heck she was going to sing and if she should go for it. There was nothing to lose by doing it there.

"Yeah! That way, you don't have to worry about taking time to come by the room, and A.J.'ll trust my opinion. I'm pretty much in charge of the acting side of it, anyway, so..." Troy shrugged. "Yeah. Mini-audition."

"All right. That sounds reasonable," Tori nodded, smiling ever so slightly. She didn't know any monologues off the top of her head, but a song she could do.

A song suddenly popped into her head and Tori hoped Kira wouldn't mind her using it. "Okay, here goes nothing," she murmured and sang Patiently (http://www.lyricstime.com/emma-lahana-patiently-lyrics.html). She was surprised to find she wasn't nervous at all, finishing it off with a small smile.

Troy stared. "Okay, yeah, not going to be a problem casting you," he said. "Keep an eye out for the cast list tomorrow, I'm not sure when it'll go up." He grinned. "But you'll definitely be on it, no question there."
