5th floor Common room, Sunday afternoon

While she no longer considered the dead voles a good meal, River still found them interesting. The smell was not appealing however, and it did seem to upset Berthold as well. Remembering that a good way to keep the skeletons intact while getting rid of any soft tissue was to place the carcasses in containers with pierced lids, hang them outside and let smaller organisms to finish the eating and then boil the remains. She hadn't done that since she was a child - and learnt all the parts of the skeleton a lost faster than Simon had - so it seemed like a good idea.

She placed three dead and semi-devoured voles on the kitchen worktop and began to rummage through the cupboard for suitable containers.

Fresh from a day and a half of meditating, Billy's mind was mostly blank. Except for the hope that it would rain, and keep raining for a bit (though not enough to flood the town), and once he came into the common room, he wondered what was up with all the dead rodents.

"What're you making?"

"Hmm, good point." Billy had forgotten she could do that, but since he'd kind of decided to stop worrying about that secret identity thing anyway, he easily slipped back into the mindset of not minding that she could to that.

"So how do you prepare the skeletons? And what are you preparing them for?"

"Where'd you get those?" he asked, inexplicably channeling his mun's thoughts pondering that they could be used for various artistic endeavors as well.

"Really?" That must have been interesting. I was a bearded dragon for awhile."
