5th floor common room, Sunday lunchtime
Being hungry, River had considered going into town for a Sunday brunch, but had decided on staying in and doing the cooking herself. Rummanging through the cupboards and the fridge she found enough to feed herself and probably half of the fifth floor should they want to. She chopped onion, apples, pecan nuts and biscuits and mixed it with egg and bacon in a frying pan into something that resembled an omelette. It smelled delicious, and she hummed happily to herself, dropping some pieces of apple on to the floor for Berthold to catch.

His omelette-chew was more of a thoughtful one. "Perhaps a week," he said, "And we should form a food-advice union."

Ulp.
Smiling with her mouth closed, she chewed and nodded. "It's very original. Yes." Well, it wasn't like she was much a cook, either. Look how her apricot-apple tart cajun pie turned out.
