Flag Football Practice, The Gym, Sunday Noonish

Since thunderstorms were on the forecast, John ~~handwavily~~ let everyone know practice would be in the gym.

This week, John set up an obstacle course for the participants to run through. They could go on their own or race through in pairs. The ~~moddable~~ obstacles on the course included a tire run, throwing a football through a hula hoop, and other gym-class-like activities that would in no way harm the students.

John set up the sign in sheet, and was available for questions. He was so glad he wasn't a bunny this week.

Chat with your teammates, psych out the competition!

Before practise, Chad was stretching a bit. Because that's important.

Go on your own or race against a partner. Feel free to make up obstacles. Within reason, of course.

Obstacle courses and Chad. Not usually a good combination. But he was going to try, dammit.

Evie raced through the obstacle course.

Okay, Evie tripped over the first obstacle, then did the rest of it at half-speed, being very very careful-- and still landing on her face quite often.

"Ooof!"

Sokka cheered her on. "GO EVIE!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!"

Evie didn't stop, which may have been a mistake, because she tried to wave at Sokka while doing the Tire Run.

*thud*

"I'm okay! Okay!"

"DON'T TRIP!!!" Sokka yelled.

Evie got up again, and waved *before* trying again. "Watch!"

Hop hop hop hop hop hop hop-- and she finished the course. "WOO!"

Then tripped on a tire and fell over again.

Sokka managed the obstacle course fairly well, and got through it with a better-than-average time.

THEN he tripped over his own feet on the way from the finish line to the water fountain.

Andros was quite good with running through obstacle courses so he didn't find this too difficult.

John had taken a good run through the obstacle course and was happily watching the others take their turns.

Willow was there with her note-taking.

Ogle, jeer, or otherwise watch practice.

Charlie was there to support John's team, which was also Turtle's sponsored team, woo. And to meet up with John after the practice.

John waved at Charlie when he saw her at practice. He was looking forward to their date.

Charlie grinned and waved back, watching the practice, but yeah, mostly John.

After practice, John jogged over to where Charlie was. "Hey, Charlie!" he greeted her with a grin.

"Looking good!" Charlie said, leaning forward on her bleacher. "Are you guys going to have another game soon?"

"I hope so, but Willow and I haven't planned anything yet," John replied. "The last game was pretty crazy."

"But fun," Charlie insisted, then looked around. "Anything left you have to do here?"

John considered his sweaty state. "Can I meet you in the garage (http://ltcolkirk.livejournal.com/11779.html) in fifteen minutes?"

"Sure! I'll see you there in fifteen. Don't rush on my account."

Billy had no particular preference as to which team to support, so he just cheered for everyone.

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day

Seriously, I wanted it yesterday, it is trying to kill my plans today.
