The Roof; Sunday Afternoon.
There was a possible threat of rain in the air, but Setsuna didn't mind. The clouds were heavy, but some sun was breaking through, and she knew that with her new powers, even the strongest storm would not dull her senses. In fact, she almost hoped that some thunder would start; she might then be able to test her control of her techniques to manipulate the lightening.
For now, though, she was lying, stomach down, on the roof, her wings stretching out luxeriously behind her, so happy that she had barely kept them contained all week, with her feet kicking idly in the air. She was writing in a notebook. The Japanese characters flowed from her easily and quickly; her mind was positively abuzz with ideas. More often than not, they were ways in which to show her superiority over all these humans in the next few days.
Ohhh, it should be quite interesting indeed.

"What, you want the whole roof to yourself? Good luck with that."

"I could just throw you off," she said simply, her wings giving an idle flap. "Six stories is a long way down for a human of such minor capabilities."

He did wonder what was going on, but being threatened tended to make him cranky.

Barely a second, and Setsuna had moved from where she stood to behind Billy; he'd barely have a moment to feel the wind from her wings before she had him by the shirt and dangling over the side of the roof. Her eyes slid over toward him, her mouth a firm, displeased line. Her fingers slowly started to unfurl.

Without looking up from her writing, she muttered, "Refer to me by such a base term of familiarity again, Jude, and I will ensure that you will never again make the mistake, having been robbed of any ability to speak at all. If you think I'm going to continue to accept being on equal terms with any of you, you are severely mistaken."

"You totally had me scared there for a second, 'Suna-bra. What's up?"

"Weird, perhaps," she said, "for the Setsuna you knew before. I, however, am not that blind and weak little pawn anymore." She finished a character with a decided stroke, staring at it for a second. "And never again."
She then peeked over at him through a break in the feathers. "I did tell you, Jude, about my bloodline, yes?"

And, before she could even control it, she lashed out, her wings swiping back and nearly hitting Jude as the pen on her notebook launched forward into the air, with so much force that it landed in the roof a few feet away, embedded into the roof, and, after a quick flash of fire, nothing remained of the notebook in front of her but ash.
"They're going to pay for what they tried to do, Jude. And so will anyone who tries to stop me."

"Hey, hey, bra, chill. You don't mean that, right?"

"I've never been more certain about anything in my life."

Jude's face fell again and the skateboard clattered to the roof. "Y-yeah, I guess so."
