Second floor common room: Friday evening

Jack, in his rather pleasant new body, had been for a

handwavy

run around the island, and now he was was sprawled on the couch in the common room, shirtless. Seeing as he'd promised Karal he'd behave, he was avoiding temptation by staying away from Cedric, at least for the moment.

Flipping through the channels on the TV, he couldn't settle on anything, but he had the remote, so, "Channel surfing it is."

[ooc: *cough* Ignore that brief timeslip that temporarily hurled the common room forward one day. It's been fixed now.]

"Um." He wasn't sure about that. "I guess."

And he took a seat anyway.

Jack was surprised and a touch impressed; he'd expected him to flee. "You can tell me about Karal," he said, folding one arm under his head. "I know he's a priest, and a bit uptight, but that's about it."

"He's got a cat and a horse," Gavin said. "Um. He's a good guy."

"Aha!" Jack's expression was one of someone who'd found enlightenment. "That explain it."

"He is," Gavin insisted. "And he doesn't run around without a shirt."

"The world's loss," he said, but shook his head. "No, the horse explains the muscles. He's muscled like a dancer, which isn't very priest-like, but if he rides, that'd explain it."

"You examined his muscles?"

Jack gave him a look that said maybe yes, maybe no, but what he actually said was, "No, but I have to walk around on his legs. They're hard to miss."

"No details please," Gavin said, waving a frantic hand. "No details!"

Jack started to laugh again. "That's pretty much it for details. You're a bit sensitive, you know that?"

"Am not!" He was sensitive on certain subjects but wouldn't admit that. "I just don't need to know that unless he wants t o tell me."

"Fair enough." Jack stretched and smiled invitingly at Gavin. "You could tell me about you, instead."

"What do you want to know?" Gavin asked him. "Nothing personal!"

"That doesn't leave much. Do you like it here?"

"I guess," he said and shrugged. "It's okay. Not too bad."

"Been turned into anything yet?"

"Um." He paused too long and shook his head. "No."

Jack's eyebrows shot up. "Really."

"Yes," he said and nodded quickly and a lot. "Yes, really."

"Uh huh," he replied doubtfully, but let it go. "Going to take off your shirt?"

"No!" Gavin shook his head vehemently.
