Fourth floor common room, Saturday afetrnoon

Jim wasn't what anyone would call a social person by any stretch of the imagination. He hadn't met any of the new students in the almost two weeks since he and Lana had returned from their mini-break. So he was now at least making the effort, plopping down on a couch and quickly discovering a replay of the Super Series game from last night.

He wasn't sure whether to cheer for Canada or Russia at first, but decided he should at least show some solidarity with their neighbours to the north and was soon shouting the occasional encouragement for the boys in red and white.

"Hey, you," Jim grinned over at her. "Looks like we're heading for a tie."

She looked at the TV, blinked, and looked back at him. "Yay?"

Jim laughed. "Well, Canada'a up in the series so it's a yay for them. Russia, not so much."

"Ah," Lana said. "I hate to admit it, but I'm not here for the game."

"Really?" Jim snapped his fingers theatrically. "Dammit."

"I could leave," she said, starting to stand up.

Jim reached out and caught her by the wrist, tugging her in the general direction of his lap.

She collapsed into his lap with a grin. "Oh my. Now that you've got me, what are you going to do with me?"

"Well," Jim began thoughtfully. "If I were to start at the top of my list I'd be really embarrassed if someone else walked in."

She grinned. "What about the middle of the list?"

"Oh, the middle of the list is still pretty obscene."

She laughed. "And the end?"

"We'll need a beach for that part," he grinned, taking her hand and tangling their fingers together. "But this is a good start."

She curled into him, nuzzling into his neck. "Yeah, it is."

Jim brushed a kiss against her forehead, always loathe to interrupt nuzzling.

"Be careful," she said, smiling against his neck. "The mood we're both in we could end up NC-17 pretty quickly and we're in a common room."

"I'm being good," he protested innocently.

"I'm just saying," she said with a grin.

"You're the bad influence anyway," he teased.

"Only with you," she assured him.

"I should hope so," he mock-grumbled.

She laughed and leaned in to kiss his neck.

"I hope you're doing that to only me, too," he said with a note of bliss.

"Nobody else," she said, doing it again.
