Jim wasn't what anyone would call a social person by any stretch of the imagination. He hadn't met any of the new students in the almost two weeks since he and Lana had returned from their mini-break. So he was now at least making the effort, plopping down on a couch and quickly discovering a replay of the Super Series game from last night.

He wasn't sure whether to cheer for Canada or Russia at first, but decided he should at least show some solidarity with their neighbours to the north and was soon shouting the occasional encouragement for the boys in red and white.

"I just hope my parents don't find out or it may be back to 2144 and the tutors," added Hoshi, smiling somewhat.

"It's a year," said Hoshi. "I still don't know how I ended up here."
