The stables [early evening]

Aravis had, indeed, promised to care for Trenor while Karal was away. Not that she minded, honestly -- being in the stables was refreshing, and made her feel almost like she was back home (Archenland, not Calormen -- she hardly remembered what the interior of her father's stable looked like.) Between the smell and the soft noises of the horses, she half-expected to walk outside and find the twins tussling in the grass.

Homesickness and nostalgia were not on her agenda today, however, as she had brought treats for Trenor (as well as a few apples for the larger horse that she did not know, if he wanted them as her player didn't want to mod.) "Sorry you had to endure that damn desert," she murmured, holding out a few cubes of sugar in her palm for Trenor. "I owe you more than this."

Yes, she was talking to animals that didn't talk back. Again. She kind of just wanted to be sure.

Aravis raised an eyebrow skeptically. "You're so odd."

She just looked blankly at him for a moment.

"...oh."

She got it. Which was why she was beginning to blush.

Seely just grinned and bumped his nose against hers.

Aravis bit her lip. "Oh," she said again.

"Like doing that a lot too," Seely murmured.

"I know," she murmured, looking unsure.

"Which means when you're ready I'll be ready and waiting for you."

"You don't mind?" she asked, biting her lip.

"I mind if you're not enjoying yourself," Seely replied softly. "Or if you feel uncomfortable."

She nodded. "Okay. I don't know when that's going to be, though."

"I can wait," Seely said. "I waited before, didn't I?"

"Which is why it's doubly patient of you to wait again."
