The dorms, Monday night

It had been a while since Cassandra had climbed a building. She didn't feel as if she needed to keep in practice, that life was behind her after all. But tonight she realized that she was actually missing it. There was something relaxing about scaling buildings.

So she waited until most of the lights had gone out in the windows, no need to startle people after all, and began at the bottom working her way toward the roof.

[open. Feel free to mod Cassandra coming by your window or something...]

Rikku thought she saw something strange pass by her window. When she hopped up and popped her head out, there was ... definitely something strange.

"Uh. Hey there?"
the_merriest: (confused now)

"Uh." Well. She didn't sound like she was ... stuck or whatever. That was good, right? "Are you okay? You need help or something?"
the_merriest: (uhhhhh...)

"Oh. Right." Rikku nodded. Maybe that was a thing here? Weird. She'd never seen anybody else do it. "Do you have, like, ropes and stuff?"

Jack opened his window to let out the stuffyness, as he was working out again. Pushups today.

"Jack ol' boy, you've got it made," he said to himself, staring out the window.

"Is it hard?" Rikku asked, leaning out a little. "'Cause it kinda looks like fun. I've never tried it, though."

Anemone had her window open to watch the weather, enjoying the sound of the rain as she tossed a little ball for Gulliver.

Until the silly panduppy missed a catch, and the ball went sailing outside. "Awwww! Gulliver!" Sighing, Anemone went to peer out the window to see if she could spot the toy. "Um, you don't look like my ball."

"Just gotta get a bit more buff, and the gals will fall all over you. Like that gal from Comms class," he said, starting on his pushups.

[identity profile] death-of-hope.livejournal.com 2007-09-11 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
"Hai! Thank you!" Anemone climbed on the windowsill to retrieve the toy, and blinked as she recognized her dancing partner. "Cassandra? Why are you on the wall?"

[identity profile] death-of-hope.livejournal.com 2007-09-11 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
"For fun, or did you loose your keys?" Anemone grinned back and settled herself comfortably on her perch. "Or are you sneaking out? We don't have a curfew anymore, I think, so you don't have to resort to the wall."

Jack was making enough noise that people outside the window could move a little and not be noticed by Our Hero here. "Just a lil of the ol' Burton charm," he said, about halfway through his reps, "and she can't resist. Not much of a talker, but that's okay."

And from above a rope fell down and then there was a bouncing figure as Jamie Madrox rappelled down the wall stopping just above Cass.

"Okay. Apparently I'm not the only one who does this for fun."

"Yessir, girls falling all over. Sell 'em tickets to the gun show," he said, still doing pushups to make sure the gun show was impressive.

"I climb the trees in the Preserve sometimes," she confessed sheepishly, "and the rocks at the Cove and the Point a lot, especially at night. I haven't tried buildings at all. I just climb things to get closer to the sky."
