Fourth floor common room, Thursday evening

Hoshi enjoyed cooking so much yesterday at the hotel that she decided to give it another try. Tonight, she was trying something simple, beef teriyaki with rice. There was plenty to share if anyone else was hungry.

Jack was out for a wander....and smelled food.

[identity profile] inthereflexes.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Sure!" Familiar food. "You make it yourself?"

[identity profile] inthereflexes.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
"The bean turd thing and the chicken?" Yes, that was a grin.

"Right. It wasn't bad. Not too big on the tofu, though." He shrugged.

[identity profile] inthereflexes.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
He tried it. "It's good. Much better than that tofu thing." He crammed more into his mouth. "I like it."

"If there is a next time. Let me know. What all can you do with it? Cooking wise."

"But... how's it taste? ANd how's it feel? Cuz it's like that octopus stuff."

[identity profile] inthereflexes.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
"It better be," he grumbled. "Octopus is like fried gum."

Adam wandered into the common room, the smells drawing him in. "Evening Hoshi," he smiled when he spotted her.

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, very cool. Thank you," Adam smiled. "Do you need help with anything? Cleaning up, etc.?"

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay," Adam nodded. "Oh, how was that?"

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Adam smiled as he took some of the food, happy to hear that. "Well, I can tell you that this is very good. You've got a real talent for this."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
"You're welcome," Adam nodded. "It certainly one of the nice things about this place."

Well, A.J. had to stop staring at the green blob in the center of his newly white wall, trying to figure out what to do with it, eventually to eat. It didn't help that the smell of something cooking was overpowering even paint fumes, so there he was, drifting down. He peeked his head into the common room with caution, though, to see who was there first. Looked safe. He walked in. "Something smells awesome."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
"I would love to," A.J. said with a small smile. Good. New kid, wouldn't have to worry about dealing with the backlash of gossip. Hopefully. "Hey, we haven't met, right?"

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Gooooood. Very, very good. "Nice to meet you, Hoshi Sato, room 423. I'm A.J." He smirked and hungrily watched the plate; it looked as good as it smelled. "Room 402."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Not too new," A.J. said. "Started up about mid-summer. How you liking it so far?" And then, that done and said, he dug in. Food! Yay!

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Heyyyy, me, too!" A.J.'s smile was a little wider because this had nothing to do with stupid drama and, plus? Food! "I'm from the way ancient past of 1994. Downright Neanderthal."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
A.J. bit his lip a little against a smirk. Okay, so maybe she didn't have much of a sense of humor. Or they didn't have sarcasm in the future. "Lotsa kids from the future here," A.J. nodded. "Food hasn't changed much, I see. You make this like this really awesome place just down the street from where I used to work back home."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Definitely not complaining," A.J. smiled. "I'm mostly cooking deficient, but maybe I can try to return the favor and make you grilled cheese one of these days."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
A.J. nodded. "You won't be disappointed." And then he took another bite of the beef. "On second thought, if this is what you're used to? Heh, sorry in advance."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Well," A.J. nodded with a smile and another bite. "There you go. So, what classes are you taking, Hoshi? I've got shop, art, and history." He beamed at what a dork he was, with a roster like that.

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Sounds like it, yeah." And then A.J. couldn't help a quirked brow to go along with his grin. "Modeling, huh?"

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
A.J. chuckled a little at the groan. "It's not that bad, is it?"

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
"You never know?" A.J. offered, trying to be helpful. "I mean, it is Fandom. Needing to model might be a stretch, but, on the other hand, I wouldn't at all be surprised if it came up one day."
