Fifth Floor Girl's bathroom, afternoon

Evie had decided to mix the two red colors together, in order to get the best results. Right now, she was trying to get all of the dye over all of her hair. Never let it be said she did things by half-measures.

The smell of ammonia and the red everywhere may have looked vaguely bloody, but that was probably just the streaks on the porcelain.

[establishy, but also open if you want to help Evie with her project]

Ino had just been leaving her room when the smell of ammonia hit her and she just had to see what was going on. Besides, she had nothing better to do on a weekend than indulge in her curiosity. Tracking the scent to the girl's bathroom, she poked her head in cautiously.

"Hello?"

"I'm Ino," she replied slipping into the room and over to the girl, "That's a lot of dye for just one person isn't it?"

Peering carefully at Evie's hair, Ino said, "I think a few spots in the back are still dry, did you want some help?"

Ino took the gloves, being careful to avoid Evie's messy hands, "I like purple, but that'd be a bit much don't you think?" she joked while pulling the gloves on, "And hey, it's no problem. I don't know many people here yet, so there's not much for me to do but wander around."

"Now, how do we want to work this?" Ino hadn't done this before, even though she'd seen it done more than once.

"Thanks! I'm in Room 504, and I've got a roommate named Haruhi, but I haven't actually seen her around yet." Ino took the bottle and stepped around so she could get a better look at the back of Evie's head, "Like this?" Carefully she squeezed the bottle, letting the dye come out a bit at a time.

Oh good, she didn't want to mess up Evie's hair. Ino continued slowly with the bottle, shifting it with caution, "Rats. I'd like to meet who I'm sharing a room with, you know? It's kinda weird otherwise." A few squirts of the bottle later Ino continued, "Sokka? I'll keep the name in mind. Have you been in Fandom long?"

"Everyone keeps mentioning invasions, but no one really explains about them." Ino said shaking her head, "We've got television, and radio, but mostly Konoha seems like this world's version of not-quite-feudal Japan. What about you?"

"Give me a second," Ino daubed at a few spots before stepping back and nodding, "Yes, that looks about right." At least she hoped so.

"I guess the troll-girl's weren't very successful?" Ino asked, "And what's a computer?"

"Conditioner is always important." Ino firmly believed this. "What did the trolls want with the boys anyway?"

Ino thought about the last question for a bit, "I think so? A little thing with buttons on it that you push? We've got one with numbers on it at the store. Is that what you're talking about?" She looked sheepish, "Most of everything is written out on scrolls, or by hand really."

Alright, Ino now had to see one of those as soon as possible, because that didn't sound like it would work. Spitting out chips? "How do you see the words though?"

Ino tried to imagine troll-girls hooking up with any half decent looking guy and went slightly green. "That's just gross. I'm glad they're gone. Eww."

"Can you do anything like that?" Ino asked curiously, "I'm alright at hand-to-hand but I'm better at sneaking around."

"What's a wireless?" And how did a typewriter thing send signals? Ino was more than a little confused, "Yes? I'm sorry."

"Everyone has got to start at some point." Ino said encouragingly, tactfully not mentioning that she'd been training since she'd been little. "Don't give up, and you'll get better."

Television + typewriter = computer didn't really make sense to Ino so she seized on Evie's offer. "If you don't mind, that'd be great!"

And it would be nice to hang out with someone she kinda knew. Sort of.

"Room 512, right?" Ino didn't want to show up at the wrong room and be a bother to someone else. That'd be annoying.

"I'm taking Sex-Ed, Ethics and Whatever." Ino still wasn't sure about the idea of naming a class Whatever, but no one had asked her opinion. It seemed accurate though, so she let it go.

"Well the full name is Interdisplinary Studies, or Whatever." Ino made a face, "It's very vague, but the teacher's cute, and it's entertaining. How much I'm learning though is a bit suspect..."

"Wow, it's been that long already? Time's flying!" Ino looked at the mess of the bathroom, "I suppose we should clean this up too, before someone else needs the bathroom."

"No, no," Ino said, "I'll tidy up for you, it's not a problem. Go shower, and I'll see you later this week?"

Besides, Ino figured it would be a bit strange to hang around in a bathroom waiting for someone to finish showering.

"And thanks for yours!" Ino said cheerfully as she started with the sink and the obvious garbage.

It wouldn't take that long, really, and Evie was nice enough that Ino didn't mind.
