5th floor common room, Sunday lunchtime

River had slept late which was unusual, and then spent the morning teasing Berthold by throwing socks at him and catching them before he did. Eventually she got hungry and left her room for the common room kitchen, the tentacled monster in tow. Berthold was served a bowl of porridge, which made him sniffle disappointedly from under his blanket, but as the complaints didn't yield any results he eventually gave in and devoured the contents of the bowl.

For herself River made a fruit salad, accompanied by some leftover biscuits and a cup of coffee, and she took a seat on the couch.
