Fourth floor common room, Tuesday afternoon

In an effort to keep himself from dwelling on things he didn't want to dwell on, Dean had abandoned his room and was sitting on the couch in the common room, listlessly flipping through the channels on tv. He paused on one of those court shows and shook his head after watching for a few minutes. "Okay, now those people are freaks."

"As far as wacky weekends go, this one wasn't too bad," she laughed. "I only thought I was engaged to be married in two weeks."

"Wow." Meg laughed. "Who was your husband-to-be?"

"Wyatt Halliwell," Isabel told her. "We'd been joking last week and on a goof he wrote marry Isabel in his planner. We found it when we were looking for information about who we were on Saturday morning. Talk about flail-inducing."

"Hey, as far as husbands go that's not too shabby." she said. "Could have definitely been worse."

"I'm not going to argue with you," she grinned. "I'm just glad that we didn't take the whole engaged thing to far. I'd to lose a friend over Fandom weirdness."

"That would suck." agreed Meg. "I got to admit, I'm glad I'm no longer a Fandom weirdness newbie."

Laughing, Isabel offered Meg some of her chocolate pieces. "Welcome to the club. So what happened to you? Who'd you think you were?"

"I thought I was a maid named Amy. And Jo was my sister named Beth." Meg said, leaning over to take a piece of chocolate. "It wasn't too bad. Had to put up with Dean's come ons but I actually think I enjoyed them."

Glancing over at Dean, Isabel grinned. "I can see where that would be enjoyable. He's a nice guy."

"He is a nice guy." Meg said. "Though I think last weekend I was more interested in his looks. Which are nice too, don't get me wrong. He's hot. I'm just not usually so superficial."

"I didn't think you were," she promised. "I think that's just Fandom's way of helping us cope with the weirdness. No memories? No worry, just focus on the pretty."

"I definitely like that way of coping." she said. "And there isn't a shortage of pretty here."

"You're just noticing that now?" Isabel grinned. "Just wait till this weekend when they're all dressed up. It's even prettier."

"Oh...I can't wait." she said, smiling. "I'm actually excited to see all the dresses the girls wear too."

"We'll be very stylish if past dances are anything to go by."

"I can't wait for the weekend. Between the carnival, the alum coming back," she said. "I've missed people."

"I can't wait either. A giant party is just what we need before Parents Weekend." Meg said.

"No, a giant party is what you'll need after Parents Weekend," Isabel replied, shaking her head. "Some people have a hard time coping with Fandom, so it makes the weekend pretty stressful."

"I understand that. I didn't even tell my parents about it." If her dad found out the guys and girls were *gasp* living together Meg would have to go home immediately. "I think Dick's little brother is coming to visit so I'll get to see someone from home."

"My parents only found out the truth about Fandom when they found out the truth about me," she said. "They were so focused on the alien thing that the Fandom stuff didn't faze them. At least until the first time Bel shimmered me into the living room."

"My parents are kind of strict. Okay, really strict." Meg said. "They find out that there's boys sleeping on the same floor as me and I'm in trouble."

"Are they coming for the weekend?" Isabel asked.

"No. No, no, no." Meg said. "They're not much for traveling. Thank god."

"Oh good. Because otherwise I would have been offering to help you concoct elaborate cover stories for the weekend," she grinned.

"Trust me, if they were trying to come I'd give them directions to Wisconson or something." Meg said. "They'd never find the school."

Isabel laughed, "Really mom, it's on an island in Lake Michigan!"
