First Floor Lobby; All Day Wednesday.

There was a table, there were clipboards, there were big signs with glitter and a little safebox for money. Turtle Wexler? Was in her element, bouncing excitedly as she made sure to meticulously keep everything set up nicely, with the yearbooks and the glitter to go along with the theme of Fandom memories and maybe inspire some people to share them if they wanted to help with how the StuCo was going to make everything work. And, of course, there was doughnuts and cookies and cupcakes and tea and coffee and Squishies.

Well, Turtle had thought to bring Squishies because it was kind of her thing, after all, but then she had left out considering that they needed to stay cold. So there was Squishy flavored water.

The clipboards were neatly arranged for sign-ups for carnival booths, and the voting box was ready to receive last minute nominations for court before the polls went up tomorrow.

Turtle cracked her knuckles, and settled in, ready to sell what tickets remained and be a successful representative of her Fandom High Student Council. Oh-em-gee, YAY!!!

[[ plz be waiting for the OCD, it is up! *copy-pastas from Peter*: Each student can nominate two boys and two girls from their class for the Homecoming Court. The voting on the finalists will go up Thursday night and the Court will be announced at the dance. And I'll include the links for the booths, too. ]]

[[ also, up early because I work ridiculously early for how late I'm up right now, see OOC for more wonderful, sleep deprived details ]]

"I'm going with --" Jim stopped suddenly and reached into his pocket. He pulled out his phone which must have been on vibrate since it didn't ring. "Oh, sorry. I have to take this. Could I get the tickets?"

Jim opened the phone and started talking into it. "Hey, Mom. What's up?... Oh, no, I have plenty of time to talk right now." Jim rolled his eyes dramatically and did the 'talk, talk, talk' hand motion with his free hand.

It was, of course, entirely possible that Jim was faking this all.

Jim shrugged. "No, I've told you, I don't have any classes on Wednesday," Jim said. "... No, I'm talking to my friend Turtle right now. I'm buying tickets to Homecoming... Yes, I am going with that girl I told you about."

Jim pulled the phone away from his ear for a moment to talk to Turtle. "My mom says hi, by the way."

"No, no, Mom, I'm listening."

He was perfectly willing to do this all day.

Jim made an 'I'm sorry, whatcha gonna do, right?' kind of face. "Mmmhmm. Oh, so Dad's getting that surgery?... Hemorrhoids. Yikes. That's not pleasant. You know what, Mom? I probably shouldn't be talking about hemorrhoids in the dorm lobby. Just let me get somewhere a little less public."

Jim gave Turtle a pleading look.

Jim shrugged. "Could you hold these for me?" Jim asked Turtle.

"No, Mom, I'm still here."

"Oh my God," Jim said. "Yes, that's Turtle. I think she's having a meltdown... Yes, I'll get away from her before she tries to stab me."

Jim used his freakishly long arms to reach out and try to grab the tickets. "I just need to get one thing, Mom," he said as he made this attempt.

Jim mouthed 'Sorry' and shrugged off his human decency. "I'm getting far away from her right now, Mom. I think I'm safe."

"Thanks," Jim whispered, taking the tickets and smiling like a loon. "No, Mom, seriously, thanks for telling me about this. Is Dad there? Can I talk to him?"

Jim gave a salute as he started to walk off towards the stairs.
