Cheerleader Practice - Thursday Afternoon - Gym

Claire made her way into the gym to set up pretty early, blasting out music as she set out the mats. It felt a little weird doing it on a Thursday, though. Like her whole week had been thrown out. Still, with no classes her week was already kind of out anyway.

Molly blushed a little. "Probably," she said grudgingly.

He managed to avoid snickering, knowing that would just cause retribution. "Is anyone coming to see the exhibition from your home?"

Molly made a face, "Oh, man! They are going to bug me so much about being a cheerleader," she said. "I'm not sure who's coming yet, but someone is, yeah."

"Looking forward to the visit?" he asked.

"Mostly," she said. "I'm not looking forward to Karal meeting them just because of the possible interrogation that will probably happen, but I'm mostly excited."

"Yeah, familial interrogations are pretty rough," John agreed, hoping he wouldn't have to deal with that. "If at any point you or Karal need to hide from your people, my door is open."

"No, luckily," he said. "I'm just hoping to survive meeting Jaina's family and lying low the rest of the time with the refugees I've invited to hide in my room."

Molly giggled. "If your room gets too full, I can pick the lock on the room next door for you."

"You pick locks? You really are a useful friend," John grinned.

Molly nodded. "Yup. I got a set for my birthday last year and then got someone to teach me the basics. Then I learned more in one of Aly's classes."

"You know, these classes people talk about make it sound like Aly's cool, but then she goes and mocks a guy's hair," John complained.

"If you haven't taken any of her classes, when was she teasing you? Just here at practice?"

"Last week in study hall," he said. "She was pushing stale donuts on students."

Molly giggled again. "It sounds like not a lot of studying gets done, huh?"
