The Gym - Thursday Evening

After her conversation with Dick, Meg had some pent up frustration to get rid of. Even in alternate universes people wanted to be with Veronica. Meg didn't get it and it really pissed her off. She was thinking about all that and more when she started to work the punching bag down in the gym. She was too busy thinking to notice that she was actually getting better at this whole hitting thing.

Meg smirked and brushed a stray hair out of her eyes. "Is that why you're here now? To release some frustration?"

"Yeah, more or less," Dean said. "Last weekend kinda hit new levels of suck -- it takes a while to work that kinda thing out."

"I heard about that. Some of it, anyways." Meg said, giving him a sympathetic look. "Sorry your weekend sucked."

Dean shrugged. "It happens. And it wasn't all bad -- the movie watching was fun."

Meg smiled. "I had fun doing that too."

"We should do it again, maybe do a whole movie fest thing on Halloween after trick or treating," he suggested.

"I'd like that." she said. "You might have to pick the movies since my knowledge of horror movies are limited to the cheesy 70's ones."

"Cheesy horror is some of the best kind," Dean told her. "The cheesier the better."

"I do like the really fake blood and the bad lines." she said. "Oh! And the stupid people who run up the stairs instead of running out the door when the bad guy comes."

"Having the people in the movies be so stupid makes the audience feel a lot better about their chances if they were in that kind of situation," Dean said. "You can watch and go 'that wouldn't happen to me because I'm not an idiot.'"

"That better be why they do it." she said. "I'd hate to think people are that dumb in real life."

"Oh there's plenty of dumb people out there too," Dean said. "But generally they're too dumb to realise it's people just like them being killed onscreen."

Meg laughed. "Nobody can possibly be that stupid."

"You'd think so wouldn't you. But then you go on a hunt and run into some idiot who does the exact thing that the idiots in the horror movies do and your faith in humanity gets just a little bit more tarnished."

"I'm sure you show them the error of their ways, right?"

"Well, they're often dead by that time, but yeah, when I can. Gotta do my bit to educate the masses."

"Every bit counts, I'm sure." she said. She carefully ignored the whole dead people part of what he said.

Dean grinned and gestured over towards the practice mats. "I promise I'll take it easy on you."
