2nd Floor Common Room - Sunday Night
Meg had actually been handwavily productive today and spent a couple hours in the gym. So she decided to reward herself by making popcorn and settling down to watch Ratman Restarts on TV.
She opened up a bag of M&M's and mixed it in with her popcorn (best way to eat popcorn, after all) before concentrating on the hotness that was Christian Bale.
[Oh so open]

handwavilyoutside, enjoying the autumn weather she didn't even realize she'd missed. And now she had an acorn for a pet vole skeleton, but her good mood had her limp diverting slightly, in a rare socialable desire that only good moods could bring, to poke her head into the common room as she passed to see what might be going on within. Perhaps something interesting, perhaps not. Most likely not, since the television was on, but there were no animals eating other animals. What? She liked those wildlife shows. Reminded her of Kilanga.

Finally, she decided that maybe an attempt at awkwardness that might also be mistaken as an attempt at friendliness should win, lifted her head (a little too sharply, making her neck complain but she blinked it away), and gave Jim a bright smile, followed by a nod of acknowledgment. That was it, and then she looked back down at the acorn.

"Not for squirrels; if they're any sort of intelligent squirrels they would have already horded plenty for themselves by now. No, this acorn is not for the selfish squirrel but instead, the dead vole skeleton in a shoebox under my bed, for he cannot hunt for himself, although I do question my reasoning to think he would need to hunt at all, what with being dead."
Yup. That should do it. And, if not, well, then, color her impressed.
