Second Floor Common Room, Evening

Yeah, he had promised Johnny tomorrow, but he was bored and the though of spending one more minute in his room was making him want to scream. So there was a chimp in the common room, watching infomercials. There was also a pile of clothes hidden under the couch.

Tired of trying to puzzle out what the hell was going on with that email, Bridge wanders in to the common room... and spots a chimp.

To him, there's only one logical conclusion. Well, okay, two logical conclusions. Random Fandom animal transformation, or there's a space pirate with a penchant for having people turned into chimps loose on the island.

"Uh, dude?" Bridge says hesitantly to the chimp. "Hi?"

"Um, right," Bridge says with a nod. "Are you a student here? ...Did you have a run in with a pirate?"

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Is that a yes?" Bridge says, moving to go flop down on the couch. "Is there anything better on?" he asks, nodding at the TV.

"Roomie," Anders says. "There's a chimp."

His powers of observation are not so hot tonight.

"I think this is the work of pirates," Bridge says, in all seriousness.

"Sneaky bastards," Anders says with equal solemnity. "Well, that answers that. How are you, roomie I've barely seen since last week considering I just got back this morning?"

"Well, I saw you in class today," Bridge points out helpfully.

There was a very bored Hoshi wandering around the dorms. When she spotted a chimp in the common room, she knew she didn't have to go any further.

"Is there some new weirdness going on that I haven't heard about yet?" she asked the chimp.

[identity profile] itsjustlanguage.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
"So, um, are you a student or just visiting?" said Hoshi, sitting down on the couch. "And is there anything good on the tv?"

[identity profile] itsjustlanguage.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Hoshi looked at the pillow, then back at the chimp. "Okay, I see we have to master some linguistics basics here, because I don't speak chimp and I'm not sure if you speak English. Actually, if you know Japanese, Spanish or Russian, feel free to jump in at any time because I speak those," she said.

Evie had been studying for 24 hours straight, working on one of her translations projects-- she really did miss Professor Nakamura, off and on-- and was in search of sugar, and possibly caffiene, in order to keep going.

She paused inside the doorway, and stared blankly at the monkey. Or ape. Dear, oh dear, what was the correct classification...?

[identity profile] bookyeve.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Ack," Evie said, not very coherently. She stumbled over to the cabinets, keeping her eyes on the monkey in case it tried to throw something at her. She peered into a few. "Bananas, bananas, bananas..." She frowned at a little cup. "Banana pudding?"

[identity profile] bookyeve.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
"You can probably use a spoon, too," Evie muttered aloud, looking for a spoon and finding a little plastic one, then putting coffee in the coffeemaker before wandering over to give the banana pudding and spoon to the chimp. She gave him a very sober look. "I do hope you're not a symptom of Things To Come. I have class tomorrow. I can't be an orangutan for it."

". . . there's a chimp in the common room," Anders said, oh so very intelligently.

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Hi?" Anders said, squinting. "There isn't, like, a weird board game involved here, is there?"

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm assuming, for my own sanity, that's a no." Anders (who was totally taller than the chimp, and cuter too) leaned down slightly, his face screwed up in a quizzical expression. "Do I know you?"
