The salle, Sunday evening

Jaina was ending up back here a lot lately. As was becoming usual, she set up the two remotes to fight against, though she did take her mask off, setting it off to the side so that she could blindfold herself with a thin piece of cloth. Apparently the downside to her improving vision was that it was really wrecking the sort of training she'd been doing.

Once she'd set up, she ignited her lightsaber, waiting for the first of the simultaneous bolts to start firing.


[*gets demanding* Entertain me. And give me aspirin. Lots and lots of aspirin. And maybe a teddy bear. Something cuddly.]

Free of droid babies for the night, John made his way down to the salle. He'd wanted to see Jaina get shot in the rear by the remotes for some time, so he leaned against the wall, hoping for something interesting to happen.

She was aware of him in the room, but as she didn't want to get shot anywhere, she deflected a few more bolts aimed at her before waving at him with her free hand. Because she was cocky like that.

"You're looking good," he said, not trying to distract her, just being polite. "Gotten shot yet?"

"Twice in the arm," she answered, parrying another shot, followed a second later by one from the other remote. "Almost got it though!"

"Call me impressed," he said, watching her movements closely.

Sending one last bolt away with the blade of her lightsaber, Jaina shut the remotes down before turning to him, blindfold still in place. "You should be," she grinned.

"All done practicing?" he asked, maybe a little disappointedly.

"No," she answered, since she did, after all, still have the blindfold on. "But I thought I'd give you a proper hello."

"What's involved in a proper hello?" he asked, still leaning against the wall.

"You coming over here because otherwise I'll trip on my way over and it'll be embarrassing."

He chuckled as he walked over to her. "I definitely wouldn't want to be responsible for embarrassing you."

"The hallmark of a good boyfriend," she said, trying to guage how close he was, and sliding an arm around his waist. "Hi."

"Hi," he replied, wrapping an arm around her as he leaned down to kiss her.

She leaned up to kiss him back, smiling when she pulled away. "So what brings you down here?"

"I thought I'd come see you get shot in the butt," he smirked. "Since I'm droid-free at the moment."

Jaina raised an eyebrow. "I'll have you know I'm getting shot a lot less nowadays," she said dryly. "You finally pawned the kids off on Mommy?"

"Luke made it sound like fun to watch," he teased. "Yep, I conned him into picking them up from the babysitter's last night. Now I'm refusing to take them back."

"They're still just that bad, huh?" she asked, but she really was amused. Because it wasn't happening to her.

"They cried for two days straight. I was lucky Lana agreed to take them off my hands for a while so I didn't go completely insane," he told her, very jealous that she'd managed to pawn her kid off on Gavin for the whole week.

"Now here's hoping you don't end up with twins dropped off at your door when Rodney's sick of them," she said.

"I'll just bring them down to your room so you can help me," he said.

"Hey, they seemed to like me fine enough. It wouldn't be a problem for me to help," she pointed out. And yet she was currently pawning her own fake kid off on Gavin.

"So, did you relieve Gavin of droid duty yesterday?" he asked, calling her out.

"He said I had to take it sometime, he never said when," Jaina said, finally undoing the blindfold. "So... no."
