Fourth floor common room, Sunday, late morning

New term, new students, seemed like a good time to try and get back in the habit of his cooking brunch for all comers. Also, seemed like a good potential way to meet some more of the newbies.

So here he was, cooking up bacon and eggs and pancakes, while listening to Back in Black on his portable stereo which he'd brought out. There may have been some singing along too.

"The couches will try to take over," Teddy agreed. "Nice of them to stick to a schedule for the new kids."

"Hey, it makes it easier for us to prepare too," Dean teased.

"I'll make sure to clear any plans I had for Thursday," Teddy said with a mock sincerity. "We need to prepare for the evil furniture."

"I'll get on training Hunter to claw them to death."

"You've been planning ahead," Teddy replied. "Leaving the rest of us at the mercy of couches and chairs."

"Fighting demonic furniture -- it's not too far from what's already on the Winchester resume after all," Dean said, spreading his hands.

Teddy laughed. "It could be alien furniture, you know."

"What, from the planet of the evil chairs?"

Teddy gave him an utterly serious look. "It could happen. And now it actually will because you doubt it."

Teddy patted him on the arm. "You get used to it."
