gobrookeyourself: (just hanging)

Fifth floor common room, Tuesday evening

Brooke wanted to go out. But so far that hadn't given her much success in pretty much anything but frustration, so tonight she was staying in. Camping out in the common room and keeping an eye out for anyone who might not have been wearing the right head, she started flipping through channels and was more than happy to see that the season premiere of Two Shrub Valley was on. Putting the remote down, she started pondering popcorn.

[Open as CR's tend to be!]

Eve was also of the "camping out in the common room" mindset, and so she headed there instead of studying. Because honestly? Where was the fun in that?

"Hey," she greeted the other girl. "What're you watching?"

[identity profile] blackmagic-eve.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm Eve," she said, taking a seat. "And I'm completely ashamed to admit that I've never seen this show before in my life." Nor had she ever heard of it, but pfft, like she was going to admit that to someone right away?

Eve stifled a laugh. "Yeah, somehow I don't think it's going to resemble life at all now that Fandom's got its hands on you."

There was one thing about the twenty-first century that Jen had been missing a lot and hadn't had a chance to get since she'd been back. That might've been on her mind a lot as she wandered into the common room.

"Please tell me we can order pizza somewhere on this island?"

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Great," Jen replied. "Feels like it's been forever since I had one. I think I'll order one. Want anything?"

Luckily she had a little bit of money on her. It should stretch to two pizzas or so.

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Jen realized that the one slight flaw in this plan was that the only phone she had was back in her room. "Hawaiian sound okay with you?" she asked, and managed a smile of her own. "If it is, I'll go call the pizza place and be right back."

Adam had gotten slightly bored sitting in his room and decided to head up one floor, to see if anything was going on.

And lo and behold, there was something going on! People were in the common room, imagine that.

Jen? Totally did a double take. She'd read up on all of Time Force's records of past Rangers, and she knew exactly who he was, thanks in no small part to Tommy Oliver's extensive video primer.

She did, however, know better than she used to about the consequences of breaking the timeline, so she only nodded to him. "Hey."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Hi," Adam smiled, having coincidentally not noticed the double take. Fancy, that. Realizing she must be new, for he hadn't ever seen her before, Adam waved. "You're one of the new students, right?"

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah," Jen said, boggling a little. All the dimensions and timelines out there to intersect with -- what were the odds of another Ranger? Hahaha. "I'm Jen. Pizza's on the way too, by the way, if you want any."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Adam was totally unaware of the boggling but the mun was giggling or cackling. "Nice to meet you, Jen. I'm Adam Park," he smiled, offering out his hand. "Welcome to Fandom. Oh, cool, thanks." He wasn't particularly hungry but he might steal a slice depending on how he felt when it arrived. "How are you liking Fandom so far?"

"No turtle indeed," Adam laughed, shaking his head. Mikey was quite the character, that was for sure. "Are you okay? He didn't unintentionally scar you for life, did he?"

He was teasing. No, really.

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"I know you can do it," Adam winked, grinning. "Though, it might be hard at first."

Why yes, he was teasing!

Naomi decided to actually leave her room for once and so she ended up at the fifth floor common room, "hey," she said.

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Jen, now with pizza in hand, nodded to the new arrival, not in the least bit thrown by her facial features. "Hi. Want a slice?"

[identity profile] ktarian-wildman.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Naomi smiled, "Sure," she said.

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
Jen held the box out to her. "Are you one of the veterans, or a rookie like me?"

[identity profile] ktarian-wildman.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Naomi picked out a slice, "I'm one of the veterans, I've been here for a bit over a year now,"
