Sam wanted to make sure that he got his cooking class homework done while everything he'd done in class was still fresh in his mind. So, he was in the common room's kitchen making some salad, and hoping that a certain guinea pig came by to eat.

Dean wandered in. "So I got your message," he said, seeing his brother. "Not going to try and poison me are you?"

"I don't know, I've seen how you eat. Do you think your body would consider vegetables to be poison?"

"Not poison, but I'm not sure they're food," Dean said, coming over to see what Sammy was doing. "'less you're a rabbit."

"Well, then for right now, you're a rabbit, 'cause rabbit food is what I'm making," he said.

"You shouldn't joke about things like that in Fandom, Sammy," Dean complained. "Never know when saying it will make it happen."

"I'd take good care of you," Sam promised. "I didn't turn anyone into a rabbit in class, so I think you'll be okay now."

"Because turning into a rabbit would be even worse than turning into a goat," Dean told him, though he wasn't making any move to get away or anything.

"At least as a rabbit, you'd be cute and fluffy," Sam said, taking careful consideration in cutting the vegetables, to keep from cutting himself. "Think of all the new attention you'd get from Meg."

"Dude, I don't need to be a rabbit to get attention from Meg," Dean said with a leer.

"I'm talking the good, non-dirty kind of attention," Sam replied.

"You say that as if dirty is bad."

"It is when I'm thinking about you getting it," Sam said, making a face.

"See, this is where we differ," Dean said. "I'm happy when you're getting some."

"That's because you're weird," Sam insisted. "You're far more interested in my sex life than you should be."

"I just want to make sure you're happy," Dean said. "And that you're not holding yourself back."

"I'm very happy," Sam said. "And I'm not holding myself back, whatever that means."

"I'd explain, but it would just make you bitchface," Dean said, leaning against the counter. "So there's something I've been meaning to ask you."

Sam bitchfaced anyway, just for the sake of it, before turning back to the salad. "About what?"

"Yesterday in law class... that example you used. Was that just a story you made up or was it something you actually did?"

"Um, a little of both?" Sam said. "I never got caught, but I had the story prepared in case I did."

"Dad let you take the car out alone?" Dean asked.

"Um. Not exactly," Sam said, and boy did the salad look interesting all of a sudden.

A smile slowly spread across Dean's face. "Dude, did you go joyriding in the Impala?"

"I wasn't joyriding!" Sam exclaimed. "I was doing just what I said I was - practicing in case Dad got hurt."

"You took the car without permission. That's the definition of joyriding." Dean was still grinning madly.
