The Gym, Sunday Early Morning
Ino managed to arrive before Liir, which was a feat in and of itself, and so she decided that since there wasn't any point in her just sitting around she did a few quick stretches then got to work on her taijutsu--hand-to-hand fighting.
It felt good. She was going to have to do this more often.
[Ino is waiting for Liir, yes yes. But also open for all your Ino or gymish needs.]

It just took a bit of effort, at least around Liir. He generally made her feel like chattering. Out of respect for his obvious concentration though she bit her tongue and simply worked on showing him how the moves all fit together.

"A distraction?" she said, obviously teasing, "Is that all I am to you?"

When she didn't want to be nothing could distract her. Determination was something Ino had in spades.
"Which, you know, really isn't helping your case."

Then he let that sit for a moment before saying.
"You're the only person I feel safe being ridiculous with."
He had faith in nothing, at the end of the day. Everyone dies. And everyone leaves. And he couldn't see enough of himself to have faith in it.
But the way he saw it, Ino would at least be honest with him about when their association would end.

"The only one?" she looked at him, "Not even your Andrew?"
And, again, his narrative if she could read it would probably give Ino fits. Seriously.

He felt safe being happy with Andrew, loving Andrew, being loved by Andrew. Different.

"I'll work hard to make sure you continue to feel safe then," she said after a few moments, "I'll do my best."
Pause.
"And my best is very good." Loftily.
