Fourth floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After taking Sammy out for a run and a game of catch, Dean grabbed all the fixings for phenomanl subs and headed down to the common room. Making himselfa couple of huge sandwiches, Dean settled down on the couch to watch the American Gladiator finale.

Every now and then, he'd toss another piece of deli meat to Sammy.

Sam made a soft growling noise, and wished that dogs could roll their eyes. I do not, and I will remind you of that when I can talk again.

"Now you're back-talking me." Peter tsked. "Guess someone didn't pay attention in obedience school."

Sam gave Peter the genuine puppy eyes, just to show him what he was capable of if he didn't keep petting him.

"Wow, those are lethal when you're an actual puppy," Peter said. "It's like you've been practicing all your life for this."

Sam wagged his tail like crazy, clearly pleased with that reaction.

"I think I'll miss you when you're not cute anymore," Peter teased.

Hey! I'm always cute. Sam whimpered and laid down like he was sad.

"Wow are you easy," Peter said, though he did give Sam extra skritches.

And there went the tail wagging again in time with Peter's petting. Sam really was easy when he was like this, he was learning.
