Cheerleading Practise; the Gym; Tuesday After Classes.

Chad was feeling very, very important right now, because he got to set up for practise today. That meant that the music was actually guaranteed to be good, and it got to be spelled with an 's' today. There was also water and Gatorade and a big bowl with fruits like bananas and apples to help encourage good, healthy eating during the downtime between working on moves.

He also pulled out the mats. If he was setting up for a practise, they were definitely working on tosses today. That was his favourite part, even if there wasn't anyone who could toss him around so much anymore.

Because it's important.

Chad never, ever skipped stretching.

Annette sat off by herself, stretching.

She was all kinds of cranky. Leave her alone.

Lots and lots of stretching. Lana wondered idly if her ninja/martial arts training would help her here.

John stretched out, understanding the importance of staying flexible.

Z stretched and people-watched at the same time. Because both were important. *firm nod*

Make sure to be careful! Cracked skulls are bad.

Pfft. Tosses.

They were her favorite thing to do though.

Chad was there to base or spot for any lifts.

That was kind of mostly all he did anyway.

Lana was more than happy to be tossed around today.

Savannah was jumping and doing flips.

Enjoy the snacks between sets.

She grabbed a bottled water and an apple and sat down, alone. She wasn't much up for chit-chat today. One would wonder about her lack of school spirit.

Chad, munching on a banana ~~in a completely non-phallic way, really~~, couldn't help but notice a lack of enthusiasm from Annette and, frowning, drifted over for a moment. "Everything okay, Annette?"

"No," she said matter-of-fact.

Well that answer was....direct.

"Oh."

Chad scratched the back of his neck.

"Need anything?"

"The stuff back somebody stole from me. Out of my room. While I was sleeping," she said to the floor she was sitting on.

Chad's eyes widened. Not that anyone could see that, but they did.

"Someone stole something from you?"

"Yes. They did," Annette said, too ashamed to actually look over at Chad and announce just exactly what was stolen.

"Personal property."

"That horrible," Chad muttered, frowning slightly. "Any idea who did it?"

"Oh yes, I know exactly who did it," she said with confidence.

"Want me to go hit him?"

Chad was going to assume it was a him, because, if it were a girl, he didn't know if he could bring himself to do it. Maybe shake her a bit until she gave it back.

Annette had to seriously think about that. A.J. was too pretty to be beat upon and Chad was huge. Chad could really do some damage and Annette just couldn't be that mean.

She sighed. "No... I guess."

Chad relaxed a little. He didn't really want to hit anyone, anyway. But he still felt bad. "You guess?"

"He could be talked to instead of being hit," she said, but then that would allow Chad to know certain things and Annette couldn't have that.

"No. No. Nevermind. I appreciate the offer, Chad, but I'm not into violence. Unless I hit him myself. I could totally do that."

Chad frowned, but he also nodded. He wasn't the pushing type, but he would at least offer, "You sure? You know, if you need anything, I'll try to help, right?"

"Yeah, I know," she said. Though Annette wasn't really the type to ask for help. She sort of tried to work things out on her own. Which is why she was in the situation she was in now. "Thanks, Chad."

That was a little better. Chad nodded. "Anytime, Annette. Have some more fruit. It's good for you."

And then he went back to help with the practise some more.

After he left, Annette just laid back on the floor and stared up at the ceiling. Her mind was way to preoccupied to think about eating.

John grabbed himself a banana between sets. He found it both refreshing and enjoyable.

When she pings in.

Aly was there and ready to advise in an advisory capacity.

Savannah had a notebook and calendar and a few other things as she came up to Aly.

"Hey, Aly? Do you have a moment? I need your input."

"Sure thing," Aly replied with a smile. "What's up, Savannah?"

She failed at juggling and dropped the pile on a space near them.

"We need to hold try-outs but I'm having a had time deciding on a good day so I can ask the squad and make posters." She blew her hair back. "I thought that maybe you had some suggestions?"

"Maybe not Sundays since that's when flag football meets," Aly said thoughtfully. "But Friday in the afternoon or Saturday might work out."

"Saturdays make sense," she agreed. "Also, do you think we should take names for someone to be our mascot again? And what about making sure we show up at games and cheer the flaggers on?"

"Those might be questions to put to the squad," Aly said easily. "Also maybe see if we can find another competition to go to if the cheerleaders want to work towards that. But first I'd get your squad set. What about tryouts this weekend and a big squad meeting or something next week during Spring Break."

Because who doesn't like watching cute girls in skirts?

...And even if there are those who don't, that's why there's the beefcake guys, right?

I can't even express how geek-out giddy Chad-in-my-head is about getting to set-up practise. XD
