The Roof, Monday Evening

It was a nice night out and Adam didn't feel like being inside. So, he made his way up to the roof.

He took a seat on the ledge, looking out at the Fandom campus. Spring break had been quite an adventure, that was for sure. Adam had to admit, he was happy to be back in Fandom.

Sky floated up to the roof in search of something to do, happy to see someone he knew up there. He floated silently up next to Adam.

"Hey," he said, hoping not to startle him.

Adam wasn't really the kind of guy who got startled. Unless of course there happened to be a floating ball of light that made no noise until it spoke.

"Hey Sky," Adam smiled lightly, wondering how his friend was doing. Honestly, though, he wasn't sure how he'd be feeling if their roles were reversed. "How are you?"

"Surprisingly well for being a sparkly ball of light," Sky replied. "Just horrendously bored. How about you?"

"Glad to hear it," Adam replied, meaning it. He didn't like seeing Sky feeling down. "I guess I can't complain," he shrugged. "A tiny bit bored myself, honestly."

Sky smiled, though of course Adam couldn't see him, and floated down to "sit" on the ledge next to him.

"Thanks, buddy," he said. "Well, at least it's a nice day. By the way, did you notice all the shoes that were acting weird today? I went to talk to my boss and his were making him run circles around the banana stand."

"Anytime man," Adam grinned. "Yeah, we can be thankful for that," he nodded. He appreciated the break from the cold. "No, I didn't. Must have missed it," Adam blinked.

Fandom strikes again. "Whoa. Really?"

"Yeah. Then when he tripped, they hopped away on their own." Sky groaned. "I also saw Mr. Tom- he's the owner of Pizza Planet- being run around the whole town by his earlier today. They also walked away on their own. ...Must be a Fandom thing."

"And here I thought I'd seen everything," Adam shook his head. "Wow, that must've been quite a sight."

Yes, Adam. Welcome to Fandom.

"It was," said Sky. "And yeah, I feel that way pretty much every time something like that happens here. I keep telling myself nothing more can surprise me, but this place continues to do that."

"I'm glad I'm not the only one," Adam chuckled. "Maybe we should just stop saying things like that. Then maybe it won't be as shocking, next time around," he winked.

Sky laughed aloud.

"That works," he said. "The problem is, though, Fandom throws stuff I don't anticipate even when I try to expect the unexpected. Like, you know, turning into a sparkle."

"Good point," Adam nodded. "I have yet to be turned into a sparkle, but I'm waiting for it. Knowing Fandom, it will be at random, too."

"I hope it never happens to you," said Sky. "Or if it does, that it doesn't last for too long. It's only been a day so far, and I really miss being able to touch things already." Like my boyfriend, he added silently.

"It's got to be rough," Adam sighed lightly, knowing how frustrating it had to be. "But at least you're still able to communicate. That counts for something, right?"

Adam always seemed to see the positive side of things.

"That's true," said Sky, brightening a little. "And at least people can see me. It could be a lot worse than it is..."

"Right," Adam nodding, grinning. "And like you said, it's only been a day. I'm sure it'll be over soon."

"Yeah," said Sky. "Nothing like this seems to last too long around here. I was a little freaked out last night, because this is my first real experience with Fandom weirdness. Or at least of the body-changing type."

"I've experienced aliens and dinosaurs here, but not the kind of Fandom weirdness that's changed me into something else entirely," Adam admitted. He was kind of dreading that day.

Robin came up to the roof for some star gazing, maybe some singing, he had his banjo with him.

"Hi everybody!"

"Hey Robin," Adam grinned. "How's it going?"

"Great!" he bounced. "I just got back from Disney World!"

"Disney World? Nice!" Adam beamed. "I bet you had a great time, right?"

"Oh yeah! That place is great! Have you ever been?"

"I've been to Disney Land in California," Adam smiled. "But not the one in Florida."

"Oh that's good too." Robin nodded. "I think I like the one in Florida better."

Because the Mun has never been to DisneyLand, and can only talk about the Orlando

"I've heard the one in Florida's bigger," Adam noted. "I'd love to go someday."

"Probably even bigger in your time than in mine." Robin guessed. "There's just the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center."

"I suppose so," Adam shrugged. "Oh wow. Well, there's also MGM now."

"MGM bought Disney?"

"No, they partnered together or something," Adam replied.

"Oh, cool. What sort of rides do they have?"

"I'm not sure, I haven't been there since they added in MGM," Adam admitted, with a slight frown. "I'd love to go back."

"We should try to organize a big school trip."

"Yeah, that would be cool," Adam grinned brightly. "Good idea, Robin."

"Who do we know who's on the student council?"

"I think Isabel might be?" That was a guess, he could be wrong.

"Worth a shot." Robin nodded.

Sky turned to look at Robin.

"Hello," he said.

"Hi! I don't know if we've met before. I'm Robin."

"It's nice to meet you, Robin," said Sky, floating up to him. "I'm Sky Tate. Normally I'm a human being, of course."

"Really? How come you're not now?"

"Fandom weirdness," said Sky. "Hopefully I'll change back soon."

"At least you're being original." Robin offered. "Most people turn into animals."
