Dorm lawn: early Tuesday morning
Karal was grazing. Which wasn't quite as weird as it sounded, given he was a horse at the moment.
It wasn't anywhere near as bad as he'd expected it to be, as long as he didn't think about it. If he did, well, then it wasn't good. Sunlord, please let me return to myself soon.
:KARAL, WHAT DID YOU DO?!: Altra appeared out of nowhere, startling Karal into shying and rearing...and almost falling over, because he hadn't quite mastered that yet.
I turned into a horse.
:Well, don't.:
Karal snorted. This was beyond my choice, Altra. Fandom Weirdness moves to its own will.
The 'cat just groaned and closed his eyes.
[ooc: the horse and the cat are awaiting someone specific, though they don't know it yet, but the post is open before that for all your loose horse needs.]

And then she saw the horse. Four wraps of leash slipped off Jeff's hand, sending him down into the dirt, forming several bruises and caking his face in mud.
It was just an ordinary Tuesday morning for Jeffrey Murdock. "So long," he croaked.
no subject
Karal threw up his head and snorted, in rhythym, and his tail started swishing in time with Altra's, as Altra added, :So sad that it should come to this.:
no subject
And howled. Perfectly in tune.
Jeff pushed himself off the floor. "We tried to warn you all but oh --"
She modulated her howling accordingly.
no subject
But then suddenly...suddenly, he didn't want to. Suddenly, he was whinnying in tune (for a given value of tune) with Nana's howls.
Altra leapt gracefully onto Karal's rump, and then up onto Nana's back, front paws on her head, and sung, mindvoice ringing out to anyone near enough to hear it.
:...dear?
You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect:
Karal tossed his mane, threw up his head, and started to dance, front legs crossing as he jigged sideways.
no subject
"For all the natural wonders that grow around yoooou..."
Nana howled on 'you'. It was oddly fitting.
no subject
Altra kept singing, and he added a distinctive Siamese yowl to go with his telepathic caterwauling. :So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish.:
no subject
Jeff skipped in place. "The world's about to be destroyed
There's no point getting all annoyed!" he sang, cheerfully.
no subject
Altra threw back his head, yowling and broadcasting, and stood up taller on Nana's back. :Lie back and let the planet dissolve.:
no subject
"Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet!"
There was a kind of manic conviction in his voice.
no subject
Karal threw his front legs out as far as he could, tapping slowly after Jeff, mane and tail bouncing in time.
:So long, so long, so long, so long, so long...:

The Saint Bernard's howl reached epic heights. Then fell short.
no subject
Karal flicked his ears in a way best described as 'umm'.

A few seconds later, Jeff realised this was because he had his eyes closed and his arms spread. He quickly dropped his arms, then opened his eyes, and went "...Er. I guess I'll be-- going. Then."
Nana made a valiant and rather terrified attempt to scramble off Karal's back.
no subject
And then he very quickly started sauntering away and not looking back.
Karal shook himself violently and glared at Nana, giving into the urge to stomp one hoof in her direction. And snort. Loudly.
no subject
no subject
That was just odd.
And he went back to grazing, trailing his way across the grass in yet another direction.
no subject
Jeff stopped walking.
Nana stopped walking.
Both of them shot each other equally confused looks. Suddenly, the world seemed to have halted-- seemed to be waiting, for some momentous, preposterous moment, stalling for something--
And then a horse and a firecat slid back into view from opposite ends.
"SO LONG AND THANKS FOR ALL THE FISH!"
no subject
:So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?:
Karal snorted. oh dear
:Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet.:

For a Saint Bernard, Nana was really quite apt at howling along as Jeff made a valiant attempt to dance right in front of Karal's horsey face, "So long, so long, so long, so long..."
no subject
Altra jumped up on Karal's back and yowled. :So long, so long, so long, so long, so long.:
no subject
And then he was hit in the head with a fish.
"What--"
He stared. And dropped the fish like it was on fire. "This is weird," he said, practically rushing away and stumbling over his own feet as he did, "This is really really weird!"
That, apparently, was the last official judgement of Jeff-- and he sped, Saint Bernard-first, into the town, towards the hotel.
