Dorm Lobby, Sunday Evening

In the lobby is a big-ass banner that reads "WELCOME HOME TIME TRAVELLERS AND AWAY TEAMS AND WORLD SAVERS AND EVERYONE". And... that's more or less it.

On a table in the corner is punch and pie. JUST punch and pie, and the punch comes pre-spiked. There's also a box with a sign on it that says "NO PIE unless you deposit souvenirs here". Feel free to ignore it.

Sokka, after the TREMENDOUS effort involved in planning a shindig such as this, is sitting on the couch and rubbing his eyes, which are still dry and burning from earlier.

"Yeah," said Sky, going a little red when he thought of Troy. "My teammate and friend Bridge is coming back... so is my boyfriend."

"Oh." Reno coughed and grabbed another cupful. "That's. Good."

See. He was totally okay with the Choices of Others, just so long as he didn't have to have anything to do with said choices.

"I met Bridge once before, yo. He works in the library, right? Cool guy. Knows... library stuff." Reno shrugged lightly. "There was a list a freakin' mile long of people who were missin', just on Tuesday. I'm willin' to bet there are people comin' home tonight I didn't even know where gone."

Sky nodded. "Bridge knows about a lot of things." He then stretched. "And yeah, the whole school seemed pretty empty this week. It was really eerie, especially after we found out what happened to them. I think even if I didn't have a mission this week, I wouldn't have gone into work on Friday becase town was nearly-empty, too."

"Yeah. By the time Friday hit, I was goin' to class just to take a headcount. Pretty freaky shit, lookin' around and wonderin' if that empty seat over there was supposed to be filled by someone who got eaten by statues, or if maybe they were just playin' it safe and refusin' to leave the dorms." Reno tapped his head. "Plays head-games with you, you know? Always assumin' the worst."

"Tell me about it," said Sky. "I tried to fight one of those statues on Thursday, too, and none of them took any damage. But even looking at them around town, knowing what they were capable of... that was just as bad as people vanishing, to me."

"Wouldn't be the first time I had to saunter down a street filled with nasty freaky things that'd kill me if they had the chance," Reno shrugged his shoulders. "Just somethin' a whole lot more unnerving about somethin' that only attacks when you aren't looking, yo."

He actually shuddered a bit, there, and reached for more punch.

"Not a huge fan of those things."
